My Old Friend,

One might be inclined to think that our...opposing factions are on an unavoidable path to war. Perhaps war is too strong of a word, yet it may be just right. Let me explain.

Empires are forged and galvanized in war, this I am sure you know. The same rang true years ago when I stood alongside you and I have no doubt that it persists. Quite the risky game you are playing. What your troupe fails to realize is that I am *not* the Avatar of Chaos. I do truly want what is best for Sanctus. A love, vision and energy that the men whom were here, simply could not give. As an old companion, I still hold a place in my memories for yourself, and Talon, and Quinten and yes, even Zarlox. I genuinely do not wish any harm to befall any of you. I react, I do not attack.

One must wonder if the aggression being displayed at myself and my rule is a result of my ascension over you? I would pray that men such as yourself are above such petty thoughts but afterall, we are only human.

I urge you to take a step back, engage yourself in the grand picture. I can give Sanctus what is best for it, right now. My arms are open and welcome your assistance, but I will not tolerate thieves in the night stealing my thunder. If it is war you seek, than find you have.

My presence is one of peace. I am concerned that you are uninformed. Absorbing the opinions and expectations of me purely by osmosis, and not by experience. I once again welcome an audience with you.

Chose your actions carefully, Mordegan. The balance of peace and war in this world hinges on it.

My Dearest Friend,

I am saddened to think that you believe that I would be so inclined to rush in a state of conflict with the ruler of Sanctus. I have just recently returned to the City-State and my re-aquaintance with General Zarlox and some of the Border Legion doth not mean that I am narrow minded to learning about the new beginnings and the new order you have planned for my glorious Sanctus.

Your coronation was quite dramatic and of course I can feel for the General who watched his only love snub him, any man would. However, your Queen has obviously chosen to marry thee for a reason unknown to me and I do not really care as to the answer. As for the return of the son of Skyfire I am certain that he may have been an imposter solely sent to your coronation to disrupt it by those who oppose you and who wish to inspire those who seek to relive the glory days of their forefathers.

I am a man of fairness, a Knight of the Virtues and a defender of the Order of Sanctus. I offered you a invitation to dinner to discuss the future and hear your plans for the City-State of Sanctus. I believe that we should have a dinner to discuss all of this as civil men--perhaps we can dine at the Candlelight Inn? I await thy response as to a time that you wish to dine and our respective servants can plan a accomodating date.
