After writing the letter to Brianha, Vaen left his home immediately, heading towards the Spirituality Shrine.
Walking towards the pixie forest, Vaen was greeted by them with smiles and flapping wings. "Hello hello hello! How can we help you?!?!" One of the annoying little buggers said as she flew up to Vaen's face.
"Just.. came here to see one of your healers..."
"Ok ok ok! This a-way!" The pixie flew in a loop and then flew away from Vaen. Vaen ran to keep up, being sure to keep the pixie in his sight.
Vaen arrived at a small hut. The Pixie looked at him and nodded her head for him to go in. Vaen nodded in return and entered. Inside, it was nothing special. Perhaps just one of the old tents that used to be everywhere years ago. A simple blue tent. And it had a chair, where the pixie healer sat. The pixie healer was an abnormally large pixie, oddly resembling an Orc. Only, an orc with pixie wings.
"Hallo to you there," the healer said with a very deep voice.
"... Hello..."
"You be trouble? You come to get rid of your trouble?"
Vaen nodded lightly.
"You be trouble because you kill friend, not once but twice."
Vaen raised an eyebrow
"Me's know everything! Now there's nothing I can do for you's. So go's away."
"What do you mean?! I came here because I heard you would be able to help me."
"No's, me's can't help you. You's can only help yourselb. But me's know someone who can helps you!"
Vaen looked oddly to the pixie healer. "...Who?"
"Me," said a familiar, eerie voice, from behind Vaen. Vaen turned and looked towards a hooded figure, holding a bone harvester.
"Who are you?" Vaen asked.
"Hay's, you's not the person me's talked to earlier's..."
"Shut your damned mouth, fatass," the hooded figure said to the pixie, as it rolled out of its chair in fear and cowered behind it.
"...Marcus...?"
"Close! But no longer do I have Marcus holding me back. While I still have this body, I no longer carry that name. You may call me Kazuul, if you wish. But I will be known as Marcus, due to my past... mm... delightful reputation."
"I don't understand..."
"I could care less!" Marcus swung the bone harvester at Vaen, but Vaen quickly rolled out of the way and blasted a fireball towards Marcus. Surprised, Marcus was hit and fell back to the ground.
Vaen looked over to the pixie healer and then the healer ran. He glanced back at Marcus who was just getting up.
"Mmm, arcane. An interesting turn for you, Swiftar."
Saying nothing, Vaen simply blasted another fireball towards Marcus, but Marcus was able to jump out of the way at this one. Vaen then armed his warfork and shield and ran out towards Marcus.
"We'll meet again, Swiftar..." Marcus disappeared in a cloud of smoke, leaving behind a small pile of dust.
"Damnit..." Vaen said to himself. "I just wanted to be healed of this guilt..."
"Wait a minute," Vaen thought. Strangely enough, he felt a bit better about himself. No longer is Marcus, his true friend, inside his own body, witnessing the murderous habits of "Kazuul." He helped his old friend free of his miserable situation. "And I did the same for Grig..."
Vaen looked up to the sky and pointed up, "All for you two." Vaen slowly made his way back to the Spirituality gate, feeling a mix of worry and happiness. For although Marcus is back and ready to kill at will, Vaen has accepted the death of his two friends, and knows that it was the best for both of them. _________________
