Corzan sat atop one of the buildings bordering the Hunters lodge, just sitting there, watching the building where it had all begun. His mempo and kasa lay in front of him, both torn from his face. The buckles on his mempo would need to be repaired. The wind blew his hair wildly around him, and his gaze never left the hunters lodge

Why? Why must fate toy with me so? Why have I been forsaken to a life of sorrow and failure?

He slowly stood up, and continued to watch the hunters lodge.

This is where it all started, where I met you... and then, you were taken from me.

Stepping off the edge of the building, he landed softly approximately ten feet from the Lodge.

I finally find somone who could complete me, and then she is stolen from my reach.

Slowly walking up the steps, he takes in everything he can. The smells of the flowers, the grain in the oak flooring, the way the moonlight dances on the walls.

I cannot let this happen again. I have been hurt too much in my life, and I shall not lose anyone ever again...

Silently he made his way up the main staircase, up to the bar. Stepping on the teleporter, he reappeared near the bedrooms.

Is she here? Or did that bastard of a man Nicodemus steal her away to his home?

Putting his hand to her bedroom door, he thinks of knocking, but then decides not to. He pulls out a piece of parchment, and began writing.

Dearest Maggy,

I write this letter to you in a very confusing time for me. My life is falling into shambles, and it is all due to the actions of a certain man. I will show you just how much better I am, and you will see the truth. Until the next time we meet, You will forever be on my mind.

She had stayed with Nico for several days for her safety and they thought they had given this persistant stranger the slip. Then he showed up at Nico's House. He asked to meet with Maggy privately and Nico and she had agreed to come to the lodge. She told him she would not come alone. He said he would speak to only her but Nico came with her anyway.

They arrived at the lodge and the stranger was sitting in a chair waiting. He demanded to know why Nico was there and Nico made it clear that anything to do with Maggy he would be there for her to protect her. He swore he would do her no harm so Maggy agreed to go to the rooftop garden with him to talk to him and Nico waited by the teleporter just a step away. That was the last night she had been to the lodge. the night Nico and she saw the dark stranger.

The Stranger revealed his identy to her and demanded she keep his secret. She told him she could not keep any secrets from Nico. It would stand between their love like a wall and she would never do that. The man said he would kill Nico if she told him. She begged him to tell her why tell her and when he told her why she was in shock by his answer.

She went to the lodge after several days of staying away for fear of running into the man she feared more than anything she had ever feared in her life. She decided she would go in broad daylight and take with her one of the gypsies she had befriended staying at Nico's house. She was a nice girl and friendly.

When she arrived all was quiet and noting out of the ordinary. She checked the supplies and all was well. She told the girl she wanted to get some things from her room and she headed to the stairs and then up to the third floor.

She went to the door and opened it stepping on something. She looked down expecting to see a crumpled leaf but it was a letter. She picked it up and looked at the writing. She recognized it and stood perfectly still. She slowly looked around for anyone that might have been there and did not see anything. She didn't ever get her clothing but returned to the first floor very fast.

The woman that was with her looked up and could tell she was upset and drew her dagger.

You a'right Maggy girl?

Maggy nodded but looked a the letter in her hand.

It is from him...the vampire...

The gypsy woman grabbed Maggy by the arm. She reached in her pocket and started speaking in gypsy curses while swinging garlic she had grabbed from her pocket around in the air.
Get outa er girl!
she said as she dragged her out of the lodge. She opened a gate and took her back to Nicos and settled her in with Victoria.

Maggy just sat there staring at the letter. Victoria offered to read it to her and she said no...she would wait for Nico.
