Dear Thrax

It Has been a long time since we spoke each others name. The least time we spoke of each other wasn't in good standing, well im in your city Papua and maybe its time we meet each other in the eye besides of stories and scouts.

Sincerely
William

"Lord William,

It has indeed been a long time since we spoke. Harsh words are easily forgotten, and I am always ready to do so with them. I am willing to start afresh if you are.

Sadly, I am not in any position to meet with you, or anyone else. My current sabbatical has taken me far from not only my own home, but anywhere you might yourself call civilization. So any face to face meeting anytime soon would be impossible.

However, I would be glad to have a trusted associate represent me in a meeting at a mutually agreeable time. Please send word when and where that might be, and what is the subject you wish to discuss. If there is common ground, I know we can find it.

Your Servant,
Lord Thrax
Priest of Oggaroth"

William was eating breakfest outside the Papua Inn watching the swamps and the jungle where he trained as a teenager. A letter comes and it seems it's from Thrax. Williams replies to the letter.

Dear Thrax

I'm glad you are a forgetful man and I hope all your business is taken care of. I just wanted to meet with you or someone because its the proper thing when a government official is in anothers town. I also wanted to investigate this water problem you have, I know i'm on vacation but theres always room to help innocent people. Besides we may be able to trade.

SINCERELY
WILLIAM

"Lord William,

I noticed something in your previous two letters that needs a bit of clarification. You speak of Papua as "my town." It is, indeed, hometown to one of my former beloved associates named, oddly enough, "The Pack Rat" and it is a place where a terrible disease of which I was once a victim has been spread by malefactors known to me. But I have not been elected, or have sought to be elected, a member of its ruling body. That may come with time, as I am spending enormous sums of gold, and efforts via my trusted associates, to save the town from the wretched affliction that plagues it. And the erstwhile, and remaining, leaders may wish to show their gratitude to me by allowing me, or any of my associates, some governing authority. If that comes, I will welcome it, but if not, I shall be content with the oversight of my beloved Thraxstadt.

I will send word to my own son, Skurj, to meet with you in Papua tonight or tomorrow night. I will ask him to visit the Inn at the rising of the 11th star in the East. If you are there at that time, he will gladly meet with you. If not, he will try again tomorrow night at the same time. He will have all my authority to treat with you on any matter or topic you wish to discuss. Forgive him if he is overly wary of any strangers you may bring with you or who are in the area of the meeting. I have taught him to be trusting, but only when his senses permit. They are quite keen, as are his wits.

Your Servant,
Lord Thrax"
