So it is on this day, May 38, 353, I have found the one I have longed to be with, and she returns my love. But there is an ill factor involved.

She is undead. How I could have missed it, I do not know. Her touch is warm, warm breath escapes her mouth.

I seek a way to undo this. I seek a way to kill the body, that she may be reborn anew. If perhaps she could be born Drow, that we may be together, I would be ecstatic. So I begin my search for a cure to this mess.

Visions of the family I long to have swirl in my mind. Pictures of a serene home.

I must find the answers to the questions I seek.

*posting a note on as many Bank walls and Tavern boards as he can find*

If there is anyone with a way to cure the flesh of it's undead state, or give rebirth to a soul caught in an undead form to a living form, I beseech you to send word. I see your aid in this most urgent matter. Word can be left at postal number 96750049

Please, whatever gods exist, I beg of you, aid me in this.

Alizia happened upon the notice at the bank. She pondered for a moment. She had been working on such for Shagrath. When he was wanting to be normal for the sake of his daughter Polly. But she had no reason to continue the research after...after he was killed. She then posted a message just below the notice.

Dear Sir or M'am,

My name is Alizia Everblue-Randerstill. I had been working on such a cure, a while ago. Though due to certain personal reasons, I had stopped such research. Though I am very much interested in returning to such studies. Perhaps we could meet and discuss this more. You may leave note at the Candlelight Inn in Sanctus. I have room there, or at Yew where I do some of my work.

Sincerely,
Alizia

She then goes off to gather some of the items she needs.

*a post left at The Candlelight Inn for one Lady Alizia Everblue-Randerstill*

Dear Alizia Everblue-Randerstill,

I beg to hear more of your "cure". I seek a way to change the undead form my beloved is in, to one of a drow nature, living, of course. I will provide a suitable drowess corpse, if necessary. Please respond as soon as possible.

Signed,

Kay Velve'Niar

Alizia returned from her errands when she was approached with a message. She thanked Kathryn for it and then went to her room. There she opened it and began to read. After reading it, she went to her writing table and began to write.

Dear M'lord Velve'Niar,
I just received word from you. If you could give me a time that would be most suitable for yourself, so that we may meet. I will, however, need abit of blood from her, should she happen to have some. Send word of a time and date so we can begin.

Sincerely,
Alizia Everblue-Randerstill

Dearest Inquirer,

Tragically, there is no magical formulae or simple potion you can down to truly acquire that which you seek. You must look deeper. There are far older and more foul magics in this world than you care to know. Their origins are shrouded and they will remain as such. Simply know that the present day roots of which if you seek are in Wind. Locked deep within its barrier-laden walls.

If you can complete that which you desire, you are either tragically foolish, tragically brave or far smarter than I thought. Pray to whatever gods you hold close.

As I rifle through the correspondence various people have given, I put to the side the most likely possibilites. The rest I tossed into the wastebasket.

Let's see, there is the alchemist, who needs some blood...

There is the Lady telling me to seek out a man by the name of Lord Smogg...

There are 2 which inform me the answer lies in the city of Wind...

The skepticism in the last one, from that Bailos chap, that tells me something. I have not been to Wind in a while, and it sounds to me almost as if he dares me to do it. It must still be as dangerous as it was years ago.

Oh well, what's a fellow to do?

I prepare for my journey to Wind, thinking that 50% of the positive possible leads have agreed with that city as having the answers I seek. I lay out bolts, reagents, dark clothing. I oil my bow and bowstring. I pack some of my finest clothing, for their is no telling who I will need to impress. Enough food to last in the caverns.

These letters tell me Wind, but they do not give names or places. I shall have to start from the ground and work my way up.

As I turn my back on my rented room in Britain, I give a last over the shoulder look. Maybe I shall return with the knowledge I need. That thought brightens my outlook and fortifies my resolve.

I do this for my future.
