With many of his closest friends apparently upset with him, Max had few people he could turn to for advice and counsel.

"It would be nice if there was someone who could understand what I am going through," he thought as he sat on his new throne on Ceinwyn's roof looking out over the snow and ice, "There are simply some things I can not speak with Ceinwyn about."

Then it hit him. An old friend who, although had not been through the exact same circumstances, would likely have some valuable input nontheless. Heading down into the house he wrote to Evoroth.

Evoroth my old Friend!

It has been too long since you and I have had a chance to sit down and talk. I fondly remember the days you and I defended Castle British together against the followers of Minax.

I would like it very much if you could find the time to meet with me in the near future, as there are some issues I would value your input on.

Riding oonce again into Luna, Max hires another pigeon and sends it off with his letter towards Legion Island.

Taking the long overland route back to Ceinwyn's house, Max spends some time reflecting upon his and Evoroth's adventures together, and how good it will be to see his old comrade again.

Sitting in his study in the gargoyle city, Evoroth got word of a message awaiting him at legion isle. He called to his new servant to fetch it for him.

A while later the servant returned with the note and read it aloud to evo, and Evoroth put a quill to parchment and began his response.

One of my dearest friends Max,
It is my deepest regret to inform you, tht I have to abandon you during these times. My studies are to great, and I am working on a project for inter planar travel, much like my father once did, perhaps if things are to much to bear, you would be interested in coming with me. I may need a valiant warrior to acompany me to new worlds if I do so succeed. i hope you do not take this as a personal offense.

May Minax give you the strength and power she gave me,
Evoroth
