Sethos walked slowly onto the teleporter behind the laboratory table, with a loud crack in an instant there he stood, the warm air of an Umbra night overcoming him upon the roof of the Complex he had come to consider a sanctum while he was within arm’s reach of the Ebon Skull. Taking a few steps near the edge he looked into the city, so much had occurred since his arrival. Be it ill met, or well received the future had come.

For a wave of pity came over him as he watched them in the streets, specs so distant, some he could tell were his brethren, others citizens, and even others travelers. He saw what their eyes did not…he was gifted, or cursed with a sight these poor creatures could not fathom, The inn, once a warm refuge to the weary now was surrounded with an aura cold and harsh, powerful and merciless, an aura he had felt only once before…

To the Land of Sanctus, along the road to Luna the nether moved, the unseen prepared for the bloodshed to come to pass, the forests, the fae, the tree fellows fell silent.

The Darkness in the land of Skara’Brae had made itself known again, the Lich Rune Artisem had revealed itself to his creation. Bringing with him promises of power, completion. It was never a matter of trust, They always did share the same goal, as did Tyranthraxus, as did the Ne’Sveti, as did the nether itself, or as it was called in this age Oblivion.

Every generation of cultists, every age of the skull believes itself to be the omega point…the end, the generation which shall restore the Black Tower. The great kingdom. But never before had all the pieces been so perfectly arranged, never before had all the plane’s inhabitants been so drawn to the proper positions.

The undead upon the holy throne…

The Lords of the Frozen North so close to the Skull at the demand of the Fiends, first among the servants of Oblivion…

The Lich Lord no more…

Two of the ancient relics in arm length of one another…

The last of the Elders restored to his former strength…

The Peoples of Birtish’s Virtue making war upon one another…

The rumored re-appearance of the Ancient Guardians of the Earth…

Sethos felt it…he saw it. The energy that had so long nurtured and preserved all living things was trembling…like a flame shifting gently in the wind. It sensed it, all was aligned, the words of the necromantic seers of old were coming to pass…only one final piece was needed, and then the final assault on this realm could begin. Stygia would rise again, and the people of Sosaria would be liberated from the mortal coil.
