It was a bright and cheerful morning and Smiticles was feeling anything but the latter. He hadn’t slept well at all the last few nights. The unfolding events within the ALV had given him fits of anxiety the likes of which he hadn’t experienced in quite a while. The little village of Riverrun is just quaint enough that it’s hard not to notice a neighbor’s business. So much so that it was not hard for Smiticles to look through the trees and see “that women” moving in and out of Max’s home at all hours. Max’s involvement with the half-drow shouldn’t be his concern but alas he couldn’t keep it from his mind. Nor could he stop wondering what her involvement in Briahna’s accident really amounted to. With the importance of Brianha on his mind he pushed Max’s frivolity to the back of his mind and sat down at his desk to pen a simple note to Claudette.

Hey Claudette;

I hope you are doing better this morning. Let me know how things are progressing with your cousin and what I can do to help out. I need to do something to help. I'm tired of feeling so useless.

Always your friend,
Smit

It was an easy task to simply walk across the yard to Claudette’s house and tack the note to her door. Walking back to his home a thought struck him. Laughing he rushed back over to the note on Claudette’s door, pulled out a simple pencil and scrawled…

By the way, have you seen Lady Mallory and is she helping as well.

With a mischievous little smirk he strolled across the yard towards home.
