"After the decay the Meer had assumed nothing would ever grow again in Yew" Victor spoke as the guard and others of the land gathered around the throne room to listen in.
"The Meer are interested and have approached us in the matter of restoring the land, They had asked for help in procuring the ingredients for an ancient spell known as The parting of veils, and several experiments in mind." the commander of the guard paced before those gathered. "this spell and experiments will ensure new life on the land, but they require our help in obtaining key components. The inredients, they mostly are able to gather themselves, except for one key component they require help with. They need Large pieces of Emerald, found within the rare but powerful Emerald Elementals. Search the inner workings of the swamp."
This echoed in the dark paladins mind, as with the long and dreary fight that came with the experience. He noticed the conclave was there hunting along side the others of the land, the Dark Warriors of Tokuno and many of the Royal Guard. Several times the group fell at the hands of this single, unusual, elemental. It's body had glowed with the essence of life itself but it's temperment was fierce.
The man brought a few more bandages to his wounds wringing them out in the bowl of bloody water at his feet, he took another swig of the rum before leaning back in his chair before his hearth fire, the blood soaked kamishimo and the leathers of his armor showing visible rips and tears as he mumbled to himself softly "The Druids, though seeming misguided in their views lately are getting what they asked for at least.. help from the Meer to correct the wrongs of the past."
He looked about the small cluttered den area of the manor, all the lights were turned off allowing the flames of the hearth flicker haunting shadows over the tapestries and sandstone pillars. "I almost forget how peaceful this place can be at times..."
Silently the dark paladin brought his leather gloved hand to the riped and torn kasa and tiped it over his face muttering softly to himself as he began to fall to the darkness "I'll have to speak to the Eternal tomorrow and see exactly what was done and why he gave me the run around...." stretching out with rum tucked between his side and the chair arm as he let himself get some long required sleep. |
