As Sadira's mind drifted, marred by her body's pain, her thoughts and memories began to jump rapidly and seemingly with no connection...then it stopped. Fixed on one image, and one voice...

=====Sadira's dream=====
There he is...Zarlox. Clad in the weddings ceremonial garb, and there she is, wearing the most beautiful dress she's even seen, white and flowing, walking down the aisle to her betrothed. She takes a step, the glorious music of the lute, harp and flute fill the air and the sweet breeze of spring seems to wash over her face. It's as if she's there, she can touch the flowers in her hands, feel the air around her, feel the smiles of the company and see the love in Zarlox's eyes.

She takes another step, and it all slows down. The crowd freezes, locked in time, a sharp contrast to the life the dream possessed but a moment ago.

She can still see Zarlox, his loving arms waiting for her...she becomes worried and takes another step forward...but she gets no closer?

She takes another step, becoming frantic she begins to walk faster, now in a full run she is sprinting down the aisle holding her gown up but he's out of reach! She's -not moving-! WHY?! Then it happens....the red carpet beneath her becomes a fluid creature of its own, and wells up infront of her forcing her to trip over a lump. She lands with a *thud*, and when she lifts herself off the ground, she sees them around her.

The patrons that were frozen in time...they are staring at her! Expressionless masses, focused only on her. Their cold jaws and unblinking eyes lock on her and follow her every movement. What is going on?!

She sees their eyes...black irises, solid black pupils...just BLACK. What the hell is this?

Then she turns to the altar, there is Zarlox now, frozen in time. The Bishop that was to wed them, stands there, stone faced, staring at her with unblinking eyes.

And then there he is...

Bailos...steps out from seemingly right behind Zarlox, as if perfectly his shadow. What? He is wearing a deathrobe? Sadira can find herself moving down the aisle again, aprehensively. She finally arrives at the altar and Bailos steps down to take her arm...no words are exchanged but he looks at her intently, with a wry grin on his face and turns to take her up to the Bishop...The priest begins to speak, marking the commencement of the ceremony. Just then, all the noise of the dream fades out...not even any words. All Sadira can hear is a whisper, filling her mind, coming from every direction, and it is umistakably Bailos'

You are mine...
Destiny awaits you, no matter which foot you start the journey with.
The brightest lights, cast the darkest shadows.
Your betrothed has a dirty little secret
*she looks at Zarlox*
...Accept your fate...

Then the noises of the dream resume, and the ceremony is finished. Sadira and Bailos turn around to face the crowd, all of which are on their feet, still staring unblinkingly at Sadira. The throng erupts into a chant. All of their voices together at once...cold, stern tones...
I am the chaos that tears stars apart,
You cannot escape me,
You cannot defeat me,
You can only -embrace me-

With the last words of those gathered, the couple turns to face each other, and their faces near ever closer for their kiss. Just as their lips are about to me.....
=====End Dream=====

Sadira shoots up in bed, dripping in a cold sweat. Her leg bandaged, her head throbbing....What a horrible Dream

Several days has passed, while Sadira remained unconscious. She wasn't aware of who had come and who had not come. When she finally awoke drenched in the cold sweat, her gaze quickly looked about. When she noticed, she was in her own room at her place, she laid back relieved of being in familiar surroundings. Once she was no longer on edge, was when she felt the headache. It felt as if someone was on the inside with a hammer trying to get out. She closed her eyes as her head and leg both throbbed. Her eyes quickly open and she looked up towards the door as she had heard someone come in. It was him. Lord Bailos had come to visit her. Her stomache went into a knot. She was helpless and she was not sure what he would do to her. He asked her how she was feeling, she told him of the headache and leg pain. The conversation continued as she had asked if he knew what had happened to her. Her mind was fuzzy and she could not recall anything from the last several days. She also found out that he was the one that found her and bandaged her up. She told him how much she appreciated it.

"I must admit that you have surprised me."

She said softly, as he moved to sit down on the edge of her bed. The looking up and over was making her head throb even more.

"You are not the first, I tend to surprise everyone but myself."

He said with a slight smirk.

"I mean you could have finished me off, I am sure I wasn't in much of a fighting stance. Or you could have just left me. For that, I am very grateful for what you havve done."

Her heart was telling her he was up to something, while her mind was believing that perhaps there was some good in him after all. The conversation than was a quick refresher of all the things she already knew...the quaratines, the cornation...all of those she had been to fuzzy to remember. Then his little speech about what it would mean when he got the crown. How Luna and Umbra both could be at peace, and rest easily. No more wars or tension between the two. Even though she truly did nto believe what he said, she was too tired to give into to arguing at this time. At the end of the visit, Sadira looked upon him.

"If m'lord would humor me just abit. Please come closer and lean over."

Bailos looked as if he would be hesistant, but was curious as to what she wanted, so he did as she asked. He went closer to her and leaned over slightly, while Sadira reached up abit and gave him a kiss on the check.

"To show my appreciation for what you did."

Bailos looked upon her with a slight smile.

"Now its my turn to be surprised."

He then headed out informing her to rest well and that someone would be in..in the morning to do her bandage.
