*The parchment seems to be a great many months old*


In these lands exists a looming darkness that some of you know already and others only think as rumor. This looming darkness that lays hidden to some has a name. They are known only as the Order of the Ebon Skull. Some of you have heard of them and others have not. For too long they have gone unchecked. While we of the light sit around and bicker or stand around idle they grow stronger day by day. The regency last I knew was in shambles. We are too scattered or blind to see the coming threat. For those of you who have been around long enough to remember what the Ebon Skulls predecessors did before should then know better than just ignore such rumors that cant afford to be just brushed aside. Haven’t we learned from history what have done before? They may not be the same ones who assaulted the city of Britain and took it over with the alliance of many dark hearted orders or cults of the such but they are the same order risen from the ashes under a new Lich Lord.

This Lich *ink is faded and unreadable* as well. His name is poison to my tongue just to speak it. *ink faded and unreadable* talk too much for there own good. Can we really afford to ignore such a threat? The possibility of another Dark Alliance consisting of those with darkened hearts is a possible thing we cant afford to just put aside and hope things get better. While we just stand idle they harm innocent people, from Elves to innocent human merchants. They don’t care who they harm weather it be Human, Elf, or Dwarf. All who get in there way they will kill, hurt, or torture severely like the human merchant they recently tortured *ink is faded and unreadable* Are there more dark times to come? Yes there will be if things keep going the way they do.

Not everything can be solved with just the pen and paper. Sometimes you have to get out a big stick and show them you mean business. If we do not unite under one banner, one common cause, we are destined to fall to the coming darkness. For those of you who think “well I have not seen them are you sure they exist?” Just take a walk around the city of Umbra sometime. What will you find? A few faces you may *ink faded and unreadable* who let there face be known. *ink faded and unreadable* As much of a hopeful thought that is most of them became a slave on there own free will. They are loyal and will die for their masters. From one friend of mine who went to Umbra one day was confronted by two hooded figures *ink faded and unreadable* Sound like very caring people of the citizens? Not really. Every time I have gone to Umbra I was confronted by people telling me to abide by the laws, don’t do what I’m not supposed to do, not see what I’m not supposed to see, etcetera. *A few sentences are faded and unreadable* I think it’s already apparent the Ebon Skull controls the city of necromancers, Umbra.

So what will we do if another dark alliance is formed? Just sit around waiting for death? Try to fight the coming darkness alone? Try to remain neutral and watch all the lands burn and the sky turn black with smoke? If we of the light and protectors of the innocent stand-alone or do nothing we will fall. United we can stand against this coming darkness or divided we can fall and give into this darkness and watch the cities burn, the paths and streets layered with bodies and blood, and the countless people suffering. No one will be safe from this coming age of darkness. Those of you who have been around long enough know of what I speak. Too many of us do not know of this. Those of us that remember must teach the ones willing to listen of the past of this Ebon Skull and what they have done. To ignore them is to turn your back on the darkness. All turning your back to the darkness gets you is a knife in the back. To pray that it will pass you by is a jester’s hope. If we do not stand together with one common cause against the coming darkness then we will fall one by one till there are not enough us to combat this darkness. If we do unite under a common goal and combat the coming darkness I will not lie to you, it will be a very bloody war. One with many battles and many dead or wounded. Nothing worth fighting for is ever easy. Make what decision you want but I know what I shall be doing. I will be fighting this coming darkness till the end.

It's odd how he leaves out some of the most important information. Does he honestly think that just by smudging out a few key facts, that he can turn everyone against the alliance? Hah! And what a jaded view he has, perhaps he too is blind.

It seems that this one wants to bring the Order down. As long as I serve Oblivion, I will not see the Order fall. But, on the contrary..I will never stop serving Oblivion...

Illadar grinned slightly at his thoughts.

So many people to kill...so little time.
