Another night with some unwelcome developments.

Max joked to himself that he needed to stay in more. Going out only seemed to bring unwelcome news.

Following a pleasant visit with some of the members of the ALV and Evoroth, Max and his guildmates decided on a bit of training in the nice green area beside the new Tavern near Luna. Max was a bit rusty from his extended time away, and it showed in the way he weilded his blade. When the ALV's old friend Herzog Von Krieg stopped by Max was more than happy to take a break from training for a chat....until he heard the news Herzog brought with him. The skullies had taken Minoc.

This was particularly troubling when added to the fact that the Order was also in Cove. Vesper was now surrounded by the Order of the Ebon Skull, and naturally Max feared his home town would be the next on the skullies' conquest list. If there was any good news to be found in this, it was that Max was sure Vaen and the Legion of Justice would fight for Minoc...that was one front that was covered.

"Hopefully they will prevail", Max thought. "The rumors are swirling that the skullies have enlisted several allies in this push against the northern cities. Will we have enough manpower to drive them out?"

Following a short impromptu meeting between Max and some members of the ALV, and Vaen and a few of the Legion, Max headed for home to continue making plans against the skullies in Cove, and to write another letter to Lady Lia.
