Vaen and Darmug, dressed in ninja hoods and shrouds, completely in disguise, watched closely at the argument in Zento between Evoroth and Tai. This would be difficult for Vaen, as he once thought of Tai to be a great leader and a good friend. However, they recently faced off on opposite sides of the field, and this new path Vaen was taking took precedence over such friends.

They waited and Evoroth and Tai went into an area away from the masses. Vaen and Darmug followed. They watched for another minute or two, and then they struck. Darmug started off with a spell, and Vaen followed up quickly after, swinging his blades as fast as he could. Tai falled quickly, and Vaen looked to Darmug, "Run!"

The two of them fled town, only to meet again when their next hit would be completed.
