Ashigaru of the Lion Guard stood outside of Williams house with his eyes closed, silently he contemplated this sudden turn of events. The press of worried onlookers swarmed about Williams courtyard, and whispers of Williams condition spread like wildfire. An old weeping woman approached him and placed a hand upon his arm, "Is it true? Is William dying?" she she asked. Calmly and softly he replied, "His fate lies in the hands of The God of Light, be at peace and pray for him". The old woman stared for a moment at the Lion Knight, the look of confusion slowly fading from her face. Finally she nodded her head and said, "May the light guide you." and shuffled off into the crowd. Slowly the door behind him opened, and Leala motioned for him. Ashigaru followed Leala into the house as she filled him in on his condition. "We can rest at ease, he will recover soon." she said. "The poison was of a very deadly kind... I am familliar with this type of mixture....this is definately the work of Cear of ZOG." Ashigaru's eyes narrowed behind his mask at the mention of the name. "He regained conciousness for short duration, but now he is resting", she continued. Ashigaru removed his gloves and helmet as he entered the room, and knelt beside the bed. William was drenched in sweat and he writhed and turned in bed as if in a feverish dream. William mumbled incoherently while Leala laid a damp cloth on his forehead. "Is he delerious?" Ashigaru inquired. Leala whispered some soothing words into Williams ear and he seemed to calm down," His body is still fighting the poison in his blood, it should pass in a few days." William started in a fit coughing, and Leala rushed to make a soothing potion, " William needs rest, please come back in the morning." she said. Ashigaru stood in the doorway and paused for a brief second, Leala noticed for a short moment his calm composure seemed to waver as he stared down at William. "I will post a guard around the house, keep me updated on his condition" She seemed to think that there was flicker of sadness behind his eyes, but it was gone in an instant as he donned his helmet and with a whispered word vanished into the shadows of the night...
