Mairsil stood silently at the top of his newly created temple, wind blowing his long hair and wrapping his robe against him, surveying his surroundings and thinking to himself. It was good to be back on Fire Isle, he had lived there before, another lifetime ago. Another life time...how true such a phrase had become for Mairsil. So much had happened in the last few months..and over the course of his life, so much that had come to an end in a crashing realization.
Every empire he'd ever been a part of had fallen..
Ceinwyn had left him..
His children cared for him, but their path was far different then his would ever be..
And around ever corner, his friends dissapeared while old enemies lurked..
Indeed it was a dark time for Mairsil, on the brink of madness one might say..but was..mairsil thought to himself, things were dark...
But then again- One only acheives greatness..and perfection..after loosing everything..and rising from the bottom..'
Mairsil had been rising.
Mairsil had found his new path, devoting himself to it entirely. The Arcane, his true calling in life, was much more then even he ever thought. In his studying and his research, through his devotion, he discovered the truth of things, a discovery that led to others, and to ancient knowledge that had been forgotten for thousands of years. Things he had never heard, not from any being that ever claimed to possess the arcane. It was a path that had become rather promising, a path he should of taken long ago.
Mairsil smiled to himself. Things were going well, he was closer to perfection then ever before, and not alone. Two students, he had, who followed him on his path to greater power. Much had changed in Mairsil's life and in the world; and now, with his followers and those to come, he would change it.. _________________ "You see I can not be forsaken, because I'm not the only one.
