Leshok walked into the tavern curious, the words of Sirius still going through his mind “The real power of battle is through the use of ranged offense and ranged defense, which lies a bit outside the swing of your sword.” he had spoken to Leshok one night upon the battlefield. Now, Leshok found himself intrigued and going to see the man, the arts of the arcane, fascinated Leshok in long standing, but never thought himself the intellect to truly comprehend.
He found Sirius cleaning off tables in his tavern, the man whom he barely knew but fought beside so many battles with looked at him as Leshok spoke “Teach me, I wish to learn.”
With a smirk, “So you're taking my advice to the fullest, I see...” looking over the half-elf.
“I’m willing to learn and try, if your willing to teach, but I’ll not forsake my oath and sword.” Leshok responded respectively.
“If you've got the capacity to learn, you can still be effective at your chosen weapon and the holy magics and still be an effective user of arcane spells. It will not be easy.”
The trainings went well into each night, Sirius drilling into him the intricate ways of magic, and its proper uses, the first few cantrips Leshok learned quickly but struggled a bit getting used to some of the more advanced. “You've got to envision this spell a bit differently, mind blast isn't like the weakly spells you've learned thus far!” spoke the teacher, as Leshok renewed his efforts, to prove he could manage. In this time, Sirius attempted to better increase Leshok’s understanding by making him learn the writing of spell scrolls to better understand the spells, but the art of inscription is a long one, and both new Leshok would never truly master the art.
Through pain and progress Leshok learned of the arts of the arcane, and even how to combine them with his sword and his powers founded on chivalry. He thanked Sirius for his help who responded “It should do, provided your aim improves. My old cloak is still a bit singed from your first attempt at flamestrike. Maybe you ought to stick to magic arrows...”
With a smirk Leshok departed, after Sirius had taught him what he knew saying “Now I won’t slow you down anymore eh?” Chuckling he walked out waving, wondering how his new abilities would serve him in his endeavors. _________________ After all these years, I'm still putting up with Kuja and Vaen? whats wrong with me?
