Within the city, abound merchants, and servants LaBelle set to the place she had discovered most comfortable. The walls of the edifices for piety, her refuge, she set long hours and worked upon the many writings she had begun during her stay to the Holy Church. The fancy Inn provided many accommodations she was unaccustomed too, but it had not any place for writing, and study. Thusly, each morning she woke, it was her mission to trek to the northern part of the city, for such observances. She passed men and woman alike, who offered their services, and promises to attend the Lady. She waved most off, until the night fell, and then always, hired she one, to set outside the archway of her room to the Stag and Lion. Unable to find other befitting residence to the city, she resolved to stay on to the Inn.
Letters from his Lord Majere, came often, by way of the disposed messenger. As such were the return letters by herself. Each letter she received treasured. She moved from the corridor this night, with one tucked gently beneath her arm. The woman servant stood quietly outside her doorway. Setting to the enormous bunk in her room, she unfurled the parchment to once more, relish in his Lord’s endearments. Looking forward, was she to the time they might share one another’s company again, ever so.
The upcoming tournament to account for the city Cove, would be the first time she had to gaze upon his Lord since her leave to the city Magincia. He would be occupied, as men were, towards the performance of his sportsmanship. She would watch anxiously, though portray it not. Her feet resting lightly to the floor, she lifted an edge of the olive cloak that was draped aside her, circling the material in small motions of her thumb and forefinger. An anticipatory smile to her lips.
LaBelle carefully rolled the parchment and leaned to tuck it into the large chest aside the bed.
She moved through the archway of her confines, nodding slightly to the younger woman, and out onto the streets of Magincia. The sounds were growing familiar, the lapping sea’s, the chattering call of the mocking birds, the merchants sales pitch. It had become late enough to the eve, that it was only the seas she heard. Tied securely to her waste, the looking glass, affectionately engraved by his Lord Majere.
The stargazing was brilliant, she kept lowering the scope, and gazing up with her naked eyes.
Even then the heavens shown dazzling...And then she realized, there were not the first cloud to the sky. |

The days and nights flew by for Leshok as he spent each night in writing of letters or reading them. The Lady LaBelle inspired much creativity in him, and his words flowed easily from the quill, and soon he had idea of a more grand gift. He spent well over a week sketching the rough draft before he was satisfied, and it would take another few days to see it made.
The most recent letter and delivery brought the half-elf to a level of excitedness, for the Lady would be coming to observe the tournament, and had even sent her bracelet to him, to wear until after the tournament. Leshok spent the nigh twirling the bracelet in his hand, looking up only to gaze the stars with the looking glass given unto him by LaBelle. A smile creased his face as contemplated losing early in the tourny to spend more time with her, but simply chuckled knowing full well he would want to give his all in front of the maiden who had gifted him with token to show her favor.
Every letter kept her close in heart, every gift made it hard to be sad since it was becoming more and more clear of the Lady's affections. The soft cloth she had sent, for him to wash his face with, lay on the desk next to his bed, and the book of poetry sat atop it, with words more beautiful then Leshok could ever hope to write.
He gazed the stars that night on a clear sky, knowing his Lady was watching them too from afar, a shared moment together.....and not a cloud was in their way. _________________ After all these years, I'm still putting up with Kuja and Vaen? whats wrong with me?
