Alessandra woke up and looked around her house. She had spent a great deal of time working on getting the house fixed up and running. When she had found it, it had been a mere pile of bricks, about to collapse, but with the help of her building team she had designed and had it rebuilt to its former glory. As she was walking through her house her eyes fell on a letter she had recieved from Mave only a few days ago. She wondered why he had not replied and it worried her. She knew that Dark Cove wasn't the safest of all places these days, but she was sure that he could take care of himself. She chuckled as she thought back to their first trip to Tokuno. She had been worried that the new breeds of monsters would prove a match for him, but she soon realized that it was his skills that she had underestimated... by a lot! He was more skilled with his sword than she had remembered, and truth be told, it was he that had kept her alive many times on that trip. Still, Dark Cove held something more evil than she could imagine and decided it was time to write another letter...

To Mave Gerhart, Warrior of Honor

Dear Mave,
I hope that this letter finds you well. I was worried when I had not heard from you. It is my deepest hope that you will accept this lady's invitation to an informal dinner, when you are available. We do have so much to catch up on still. I am afraid my home is still unacceptable for guests, but I do know of a quaint little restaurant that serves the most delicious desserts. Yes, your friend still cherishes the sweet things in life. Please respond when you are available and I shall make sure to find myself also available.

May the Virtues guide and protect you my friend,
Lady Alessandra, Legion of Justice

She recalled to the tower where she had spent much time and the servant quickly recognized her and let her in. She looked about and noticed that there was a fire going and smiled. The servant let Aless know that Lord Mave was out and about hunting, and promised to deliver the message personally as soon as he got home. She smiled and thanked him and returned to her home to finish some of the unpacking...

Mave returned home, handed his servant his cloak and received a letter in return. As he walked to his desk, he read over it, smiling. Hanging his sword belt on the back of the chair as he sat down, Mave began to pen a response.

My dear Lady Alessandra,

I apologize to have worried you. My days have been filled with exploration, hunting, and looking into how much this land has changed. A dinner sounds wonderful. I will relay available times through my falcon at a later time. It is truly a pleasure to hear from you again and to know that there are still friends that remain in this ever changing land.

Walk in Honor,
Lord Mave Gerhart

*sealed with the seal of House Gerhart*

Calling his servant over, Mave hands him the letter.

"Take this to Lady Alessandra as quickly as possible. Be safe my friend."

"I will m'Lord", replied the servant as he took the letter, gave a slight bow, and went out the door.

As he left, Mave got up and went over to where the fire was burning. With a glass of wine, he sat down and let his mind rest on pleasant things for the night, glad to have returned.
