******************************
Milord Celebrant,
This Lady is regretful that she will
not be tending the church sermon
this night. I shall look forward
the transcription however,
that I know will make it’s
way to my viewing.
I have arrived to Maginica, as we spoke
of, I had desired the counsel of the
Lord Willow before departure,
without avail. If Milord would
speak with him, and encourage
him to seek me, I would be
most grateful.
A small favor if Milord would oblige, a
letter to the keeper of the cloister
in Magincia. This Lady finds
difficulty in obtaining reasonable
accommodations to the city.
If Milord is an acquaintance
to the warden of the edifices
for piety, perhaps he can
persuade accommodations
be made.
I await respectively your correspondence.
Peace and
Health Always, Milord,
~Lady LaBelle~

Bartholomew retrieved the letter from the messenger pigeon and unrolled the parchment with care. He immediately recognized the Lady LaBelle’s hand as he sat to read the note. He mused that he was not the only person who found difficulty in gaining audience with Mr. Martin. He also realized that Mr. Martin is a man of many demands on his time and oft did not place the Church with the importance that some might wish. Reading on he saw an opening where at least there was a small opportunity to assist the Lady LaBelle.
Quickly Bartholomew penned three letters of introduction for the Lady Labelle. One he addressed to the head of the keeper of the cloister in Magincia, another to the Captain of the city guard, and a last one written in a general format for the Lady to use at her discretion. Finally he wrote her a short note explaining the three letters and wishing her well in her coming works for the Church and our society.
Bartholomew placed the three letters and the note within an official Holy Church of the Virtues envelope and sealed it with his seal. He called one of the clerical recruits and bid him to take the missives to the Lady LaBelle in Magencia. The young lad took off with great haste towards the nearest moongate. _________________ Bartholomew; Celebrant of Virtue {HCV} |
