Molly,

I write to you in distress this eve. I received word from Lord Chad to help him in the questioning and possible arrest of an Orc this eve. I found Chad had burst into Poets freehold, thus upseting the owners of the establishment. I was able to quell the ruckus and get the Orc questioned. The problem lies in if I am acting sheriff why was I not informed earlier. The fact is that Chads outburst and lack of planning put us at a disadvantage in the questioning as well as ploliticly with Tai and his men who were ready to defend the principle of the freehold with thier blood if necessary. Keeping the peace means having to keep peace. As it went Chad provided insufficient evidence to further pursue the Orc at this time. Perhaps we can meet soon to further go over evidence that a case for action may be built upon.

Until we meet, good health to you,
Porthos von Richthoffen
SSF Steel Scorpions of Fire
Acting Sheriff of Luna province

She thanked the messenger and sent him to the kitchen for a bite to eat while she wrote a responce.

Dear Porthos,

I thank you for your prompt response to the call to the Garden.

In his zeal to avenge my loss of sight and the harrassment I experienced in Minoc, he did not follow proper protocal. Not to excuse him but he is a warrior first and very much concerned for my wellbring especially since the assassination and subsiquent recovery at our guild meeting, and the constant state of readyness the guild posture themselves in under those circomstances. He is also a marked man stated by the assassin herself. This creates a situation of great stress and any threat no matter how small is met with a strong hand. I value this in Chad and I would not wish it any different. I will remind him he must keep a cool head the next time and make sure to follow protocal unless he is attacked.

I appologize for his haste in speaking out at Poet's and I will send my appologies to Poet as well.

Yours in Light,
Grand Duchess Molly Willow, H*G, Royal Court Chairman

She signed it and penned a note to Poet.

Dearest Poet,

We have been friends for a long time and I hope you do not take anything that happened last eve personally.

It is my understanding that Chad became quite verbal and loud in your establishment to one of your patrons. I would like you to know that he has been under a great deal of stress from not only the orcs but a mysterious Ninja woman who has targeted our guild. I have spoken to him about proper protocal and he will be working within those bounds in the future. I trust you will forgive him and my part in it under the circomstances.

I would like to meet with you and discuss it further if you would like. I am in want of good company anyway if you would consider joining me for dinner or tea at your earliest convenience.

Yours,
Molly

She summoned the messenger and gave him a small bag of coins asking him to deliver to his master the one letter and asked that he drop off the other to Poet at his establishment. He nodded politely, bowed and closed the door behind him.
