His sandals slid across the stone paved streeds of Nujel'm. He found that walking the city usually calmed him, as a opposed to keeping himself inside the various towers and homes that he and his wife owned. It had been some time since he truely walked through the streets of Nujel'm. Rufus admired the architecture with a smile across his face. The sandstone glistened as the sun hit it at all angles, making it sparkle and shimmer as he walked through the streets. Rufus had been so accustomed to people addressing him as Regent when he visited the various cities and islands throughout the lands. But in Nujel'm, he was always "Mr Rufus" or "Sultan". And it was always comforting. The depression that he was facing had became so heavy upon his shoulders, he had forgotten most of the simple things that made his life complete; His wife's smile, The City of Nujel'm, Religion, and conversatin. Now Rufus could rebuild two things...his own life and the Island he loved.

Now would come an era when he would be involved, a word on peoples lips, and nay for his absences or his abiliity to bat away the questions that would conflict with is beliefs. Rufus would be focused again, and fight the depression that would lessen the options of his style of living...or his way of being. Rufus believed that there will be questions that must be answered, paths that must be chosen, and challanges that must be faced. And now he would truely have to live out his philosophy and be a living example.

Rufus spent much of the day praying, sitting alone in the reflecting area, and the flower garden, and all around the palace, his prayers could be heard...

"It is the ideals that you have instilled within me great hierophant Ssithnos. The ideals of Balance and knowledge to over come the ordeals that I face. I shall shield the Isle of Nujel'm with the abilities I have. I shall craft a grand future for its people, and carry your banner without hesitation..."

That night Rufus studied his markings before going to bed, he looked to his arms, and brushed the marking under his eye...and thought of his gifts. He would resume his practices...and capitolize on the energy that that could fuel a Sultan, or an empire. Late into the night, when the moon was its brightest, He rested his head on Sarah's boosom and slept through the night.
