Unity was very confused as to where he may of dropped his journal at, it illuded him as to how he could be so clumsy as to have allowed it out of his sight long enough that pages could be torn out of it. He thought to himself there was no way he had set it down, or dropped it. The pages must have been taken right from his own palace library, lost was not an option to Unity. Stolen was the only thing he could come up with, but by whom he thought? Who would gain by stealing a small portion of his journals? All the other books where as he left them in his library. He thought to himself. He knew he had given a copy to Poet at the Blessing of Trinsic to give to Tai, but that was before he had finished the journal. Yet he still was puzzled where the rest of his journal pages had gone, torn out pages..

(The journal is as writen below)

*Sealed with a Gear* Written By: Unity

On my first Day:

This evening I went to Poet's Tavern for a few drinks to kill some time and I was introduced to a gentleman by the name of Tai, a kindly sort. He introduced himself to me and sent his wench for some ale. He began to tell me a tale of some broken crystals that have come to be seen in Britain and also can be found in a cave of mushrooms. He then handed me a map pointing out a layout of the cave enterance and the inside aswell.

He went on to tell me that I had become very highly recomended by Isk, this was not very odd to me. I have known Isk for some time, but I began to listen to the gentleman after he said this. When the gentleman finished what he had to say I kindly excused myself for the evening. Bidding Tai well I then mounted my steed and spoke in gargish, opening a gateway to my palace and entered it. I went home to my palace to ponder my next moves.

On The Second Day:

This morning I went off to Britain. It is very interesting, I have never seen crystals that looked like this before. They are differant than the power crystals we have used many times in the past for our experiments and procedures we have gone through in out break throughs with the creation of golem like drones.

I am unsure why they are here, I had origonally assumed some sort of overtaking like there was in Yew, but again these are very differant. I am now very unsure of this idea, I am going to continue looking into it.

After looking the crystals over at a distance I felt very drawn to them, almost as if they were a force drawing my energies as I stood there admiring it, yet I did not feel weak or anything. I just felt a strong draw. I am very interested in a sample now, but these crystal pieces are encaged by some sort of an unknown force, or a field. I have never seen one that looked like this before. I wish Dealthagar were here to help me in my research, I do miss him now more than ever.

I decided to have a drink this eve to settle my thoughts, so I returned to Poet's Tavern. I met when I arrived there, a man named Kalran. He was a very kindly gentleman, after a few drinks I had pulled out my map which my travelers had redrawn for me. He informed me he knew of the cave and we were off to the Mushroom Cave.

When we arrived in Ilshenar I went out in search ahead of Kalran and found some more crystal shards, when I tried to pick one up I failed, it was very deeply rooted in the ground.

Kalran informend me he had found a book entitled "The Gem of Garanzen". When I went to it and opened the book it read as follows: "Born of the shatter his world he rebuilds living in darkness with metal children Enslaver of our kin." The book was very unique itself, the color and bindings were finely crafted.

After throughly examining all of the cave I decided to go and look in Britain again. Only this time I was not alone, we would both go to Lord British's Castle to see if the claims Kotare had come up with were true or false, will the castle be under attack by some being? If so than who? I must search further now.

When we arrived at the Lord British's Castle there was a book, it was about egg sacs being removed. Also there were some shields in the throne room with the book and along the walk in of the castle there were plants growing up, vibrant orange and green plants with some thorns in the middle of the red rug.

There was only one Noble Citizen there though, it was very interesting. I will send a messenger later to take a copy of this book, but for now myself and Kalran will depart this city.

On My Third Day:

Today I returned to Britain again to see what had happened, it seems Kotare had afterall been correct. Britain was in fact under attack. Truly now I wonder how did he know? Was he a part of the invasion, claiming to be a protector of Britain? Why would a supposed Duke of the Blackwinds whom resided in Yew, as far as I know be protecting Britain? I am very wiery of this situation, possibly the whole "good" side of Kotare being returned to him was a sham. I feel I must now look into this situation aswell.....

*The journal enteries further were ripped out and only the tattered paper remains in the seam with some letters, none ledgable*

As Tai was unloading crates and boxes as he moved into his new temple and dojo he noticed that a book had fallen from a crate.

He paused in his efforts and picked up the book. Vaguely he recalled Poet-san telling him that Lord Unity had requested he read it.

Tai tucked it into his obi and finished unpacking the crates.

Then he went down to his zen garden and lit some incense that Lady Rryn, his sakura, had given him.

It was then that he examined the book. An odd bit of metal formed a seal around the binding of the book. After a few minutes, Tai was able to detect the mechanism to open the book.

As the cloying fragrance of the incense filled the room, and as Tai emptied his mind to only reading what was before him, his focus became more difficult.

There, at the end there were pages missing.

Was this document true?

What did this mean for Duke Kotare?
