|
The winds have changed. No longer do I feel the presence of the darkness like I once did. With the recent events, our forces have been dwindling. The death of the Dark Order, the dissapearence of the Armunn's, the plague of now Black Cove, and the crumbling of the Oblivion - the true epitome of dark forces themselves, the Ebon Skull - were falling to their knees at the hands of the Lightbringers. I shook my head in disgust. Under my hooded robe, in the shelter of the night's pitch black twilight, I pondered, what am I to do now? My home has been reduced to a mere graveyard for the souls of those who perished near the waters of Cove. The men, the women, the children, once frolicking about in happyness and joy, were merely reduced to tattered body parts streched across the grass, their blood spottily staining the scattered bricks and stones that used to compromise the structure of my former house. I have begun to think that all is lost and there is no hope.
All that is left is the newly stictched badge that has been sewn on the upper right arm of my robe - The Black Knights of Malas. Some of my comrades that belonged to the Order were able to escape the curse of the land and had fled to the safety of this developing band of warriors. They had once been great allies of the Order, loyal to any capacity, beyond any other guild that the Order had been previously alligned with. When all other alliances had crumbled and faltered, the Black Knights of Malas have been there through thick and then, even fighting beside us against the Lightbringers in Yew. Little attention was paid to their presence due to their lack of numbers, but I am sure of that to change with time. For now though, I must take part in a greater effort to repel the Lightbringers. I shall travel to Umbra, to see what I can be of help with. Hopefully the rest of my comrades in the Black Knights will be of assistance in these matters - for the sake of the darkness, for the sake of that which had crumbled before my eyes, for the sake of the Dark Order. _________________ Matty P. |
