Vaen woke in the morning with a smile on his face. For even though he only saw Mallory for a short while last night, he enjoyed his time with her. He always enjoys spending time with her, even though the majority of the time they are in Poet's tavern being hassled by the regulars.

Vaen sat up in his bed and threw the blankets off of him. He stood, and walked to his window out into the open ocean. He saw the sun just above the eastern horizon. He thought to himself how Mallory would probably enjoy seeing the sun set in the west. This island that the Legion claims was quite beautiful. Though it had no birds or peaceful creatures, there were no monsters, and very few annoyances at all. And, not to mention, you can watch the sun rise in the East over water, and set in the West over water, in the exact same location. "Yes," he thought, "She would love this place."

Vaen went downstairs into the tavern area to have himself a small breakfast. He ordered himself some bacon, and a few slices of ham, with a glass of milk. While eating, he couldn't get his mind off of Mallory. He hadn't had these feelings in a long time. Could it be that... "Nah." Vaen said and shook his head. "It couldn't be... could it?" Vaen thought for a moment and then shook his head, and decided that it would be better to ponder such intense thoughts later in the day when he would be fully awake.

Vaen finished his breakfast and then went down to the stables to feed Saul, his horse, his morning meal.

"You liked Tobias, didn't you, Saul?" Vaen asked his Saul. Tobias was Mallory's horse. The two horses seemed to get along. Perhaps... too well. Vaen looked at his horse. "Saul... don't you go getting crushes on male horses. That's just not how it's going to be." Vaen patted Saul's nose and Saul nudged Vaen a little bit. Vaen chuckled.

"Don't worry, hopefully you'll get to see your new friend today. And hopefully, I get to see Mallory."
