Maelwyn ab'Arawn was just about to leave the domain of Lord Oaks' with her collection of bone shards when the great Forest Lord appeared before her.

The Lord spoke to her in a voice that sounded of wind in trees and the rustling of leaves, "Re-awaken, Spirit within, you are needed again. The land is in pain, life is in danger."

The wind picked up and began swirling around Maelwyn, as she stood there, trance-like, beginning to glow. The white light began to build up until it finally blotted out everything, leaving Maelwyn unconscious, lying on the ground, guarded by pixies.

When she awoke, hours later, dusk was falling. She made her way home, slowly, leaving her bundle behind. A lingering memory of Lord Oaks' voice playing over and over to her.

"The land needs thine help and the help of ancient friends. Call back the druids, and preserve life for all. There are dark forces at work in the world. We must bend back the evil, and fight for the lives of all the forest dwellers, and the trees themselves. Mayhap even the world."

Looking within herself, she concentrated until the force of light glowed again.

"Hear me, Ancient Friends, return to that which once thee were. Return to Druid Grove."

Standing patiently, she was not surprised when some sixty seconds later the first of the lost druids appeared before her. One by one, until 4 were there, Marx, Roland, Tavish, and Draven.

"My friends, it is good to see you all again. But I fear I have sad tidings and we have hard work ahead of us."

She related the news to them, and the words of Lord Oaks. She realized that she did not yet have a sizable force, but it was a start. Soon, the rest would start to reawaken.
