Tatiana woke up from the best nights sleep she had had in a long time. The dreams had been so wonderful for a change. Or were they dreams? Wasn't it real? or was it? Almost terrified to open her eyes, she turned and looked at the bed beside her. A slow and radiant smile graced her lips as she saw Beowulf, indeed, sleeping beside her. She did not understand how or why only that it was real; he was here.
And it was him. She had thought at first it was some vile plot of Mr. Darrien's to trick her so he could kill her and her baby. She had tested Beowulf, things only he would know because it had been only him and her there. She reached out and lightly touched his lips, his hair, his cheek. Smiling a bit at the new hairdo, she snuggled in closer and fell back asleep.
