Times were uneasy and the land Kotare called home was often always hotly contested. That didn't matter much anymore. The fighting seemed to quiet down save for the uprisings in Felluca, where the war with the orcs was still ongoing. BlackWind needed a solid base and staging area. He found it in the one place he had to abandon during the Army of the frontier's brief stay. He was back and the ranks of BlackWind began to grow.

The First of the BlackWind patrols began last eve where the patrol was sent to survey the happenings in Yew Trammel. All had gotten quiet. Too quiet.

"Be on your guard, We are not entirely welcomed here by some." Kotare told those in the patrol. But they were prepared. From their staging area, the rode in noticing that no guards were present. Not a trace of the frontier was found. Pressing on further, they headed towards the court of truth. What they saw horrified them. "How could this be?"

The knights came forward and started to speak to one another. Deciding that they would be hard pressed to clear this area of the nusence, they thought it best to hold a defensive line at the town hall. "Make the town safe" was all the the Duke ordered. His words seemed to make many within ear shot seem relieved.

The small patrol began to force its way to the entry way of the court, but the brutes proved to be tenacious and held firm. Satisfied that a battle line has been drawn, the Duke of BlackWind sent out an order for volenteers. Maybe among those who were in the frontier might shed some light on why this town was left to be over run. What ever the case may be, BlackWind was here and it intended to remain. We are home.
