All Max wanted to do was have another quiet evening at Poet's watching the patrons come and go, and picking up some of the latest news and gossip. Things simply did not turn out that way.

Although having to sit int he company of an orc may be considered "unpleasant", Max found no reason to think it would greatly alter his plans for the night. The orc behaved as expected, being rude to a child and telling Max to "Shud up!" at one point. But, once again, nothing unusual...for an orc. The orc departed without fanfare.

The next visitor literally had Max's head spinning. A young lady being followed by three of herself!! Upon further conversation it was learned that replicating oneself is a trick learned in the new lands. This young lady had many things to share this evening. A dart blowing "gun", a book of "Bushido" and some strange poison thing Max wouldn't even touch were among the artifacts from the new lands. Max concluded he most certainly had to find a way to visit these lands!

Nothing of the oddities this young lady showed to Max came remotely close to equaling what was to happen next. Although he was dressed rather strangely Max could not mistake the face of Vaen as he stepped of the teleporter. Something was very very odd though. Perhaps it was the nasty way Vaen addressed Max, perhaps it was the orc accompaning Vaen. Quite possibly though, it was the spit from Vaen's foul orcish speaking mouth on Max's face that finally convinced Max that something was seriously wrong with Vaen.

Of course it didn't help that Vaen's orc companion had slapped Max twice, poked at him, and vomited on his robe. So much for a quiet evening of people watching.

For a time Max thought this MUST be a joke or one of Poet's shows. But the spit, the vomit, the slapping and the threats of death were finally enough to convince Max it was time to leave before he wound up dead or seriously maimed. "I am tired of being poked, proded and spat upon by orcs" Max thought to himself as he began chanting the words of the spell to get himself out of there.

As he dissapeared from the rooftop at Poet's garden the self proclaimed "Vaenorc" may have heard Max's voice trailing off "And I REALLY need to wash this robe!'
