New Mayor Elected in Yew
As of this day, the thirty-first of October in the year of two thousand and four, there is a new Mayor in the city of Yew. Lord Kain Elderan was successfully elected by the Yew Town Council and her citizens, succeeding in Mayor Lilyth Noir's resignation. In a show of working together with those preceeding him, Mayor Elderan proposed that Lilyth Noir remain on the Council as his Vice Mayor. She has accepted the position and will remain a loyal supporter of this Council.
As his first declaration as new Mayor, Lord Kain proposed that the Council step forward on its plans of reclamation for the city of Yew. Mayor Kain proposed to this Council that a new guard be established, and be led by Duke Kotare of BlackWind. Duke Kotare accepted the position, and will lead Yew's member guilds and allied guilds against the Orcish hordes in their campaign to reestablish control of the city.
Kain nodded as the man tacked the sign to the door at the Abbey. He thought back to the days events. After he spoke before the Council, he met with Noerya Northwood. They had agreed at the previous week's meeting to strike a sneak attack against the Orcs on this day. They gathered their forces quickly, and snuck into the Orc lands. Their first target was the Orc fort itself. The gathered allied managed to quickly decimate the urks lurking about, and set fire to the Fort itself with spell and bottled fire.
Quickly moving about the area, the forces attacked another neary Orc building, setting it ablaze with spell and torch.
The smell of burning wood must have reached some Orcs in the nearby area, as they appeared out of no where and sprung to the defense of their lands. Knowing they must stop these few Orcs before they could send word to others, the gathered Yewbies were quick to send the Orcs to their death. As those gathered prepared to leave, a final shout echoed through the air.
"For the liberation of Yew!" _________________

"Dem toopid pugs... Den toopid TOOPID puggy trotslogin" Tir'Og paused to inhale and think of a truely crushing insult.. "Dem, dem ELBIES!" His words muttered, said and finally screamed at the top of his powerful lungs echoed across the water of Orc bay and brought his friend Ka'Roog running. "Wud am id Tir'?!" the large Chopper excalimed, lifiting his razor honed blade off his shoulders fully expecting his companion to be under attack by a score of murderers.
"Oh nuttin'.. nuttin' ad awl..." the Orcish Captin said conversationally despite the bulging vein on his forhead.
"Nub ah ting.. excpt.. DAT!" He suddenly howled in a artery bursting shudder of rage and hatred.
With a agasp Ka'Roog took the scene in at a glance, chared timbers of the Stronghold, still smoking ashes of some duabed screen and a general desicration oif thier meeting hall and drinking den. "Who DU DIZ?!" he asked astonished. Blessed, or cursed with a above average intellect he quickly began scanning the damage for clues.
Tir'Og had already jumped to conclusions already. Commen sense obviously pointed to those nutters of the Nel'Garok pug brigade testign out a new weapon. Mind you Tir'Og did apreciate a good way to cause random havoc when he saw it...
With his murdeous rage now simmering down to a dull ache that urged him to kill (a condition Tir knew as "being awake") he twisted his mace in his mailed hands like it wa a neck and replied evenly... "Tir nub suur, bud mi tink Ace'Pug, Zingu an Wadda'Mook gunna beh mojo muur unhappie den dem awlreedy am..." And stalked off with a bemused but already guessing Ka'Roog to hurry after his sister and make sure SHE at least had nothing to do with this.... _________________ For the last time Tir'Og! "Dat toopid humie dezerbed id" is NOT grounds for justafiable homacide.
