Keyes grew up in the town of Jhelom. Being the warrior type town it is, Keyes became to learn his skill in the swords through the guards and mercenaries.

His own father was a mercenary himself, and often pushed Keyes through his training. He told Keyes would never make it far in the family business if he did not learn the way of the sword. Keyes spent endless hours constantly attacked the straw dummies hanging within the fighting grounds. Every now and then, he would challenge a guard to a duel.

Becoming bored of being stuck on an island for so many years, Keyes ventured forth into the strange world of Sosaria. Throughout his journies, he fought many a foe, all from Ogres in the caves to vicious alligators in the swamps.

After a few years of the life of a wanderer, he returned to Jhelom. He sat down wearily into the towns tavern, and noticed a man sitting down the bar. Keyes ordered an ale, and glanced down the bar once again...This time he noticed something familiar bout the man...On his neck...There was a marking...Similiar to the birthmark on Keyes' neck...

"Excuse me....Can Ah ask whur ye go' tha' mark on yer neck from?" Keyes asked the stranger.

"Eh? Oh it's a birthmark of mine...Why do ye ask?" the man replied.

"Oh...It jus' 'appens tha' Ah 'ave tha' same mark on me neck as well..."

The men got to talking, and it turned out the mans name was Charles Cradiash. After a few ale were downed, Charles, who prefered being called Charger, it seemed that he was trying to convince Keyes that he was not of his mother and father...But of this newcomers kin.

Enraged, Keyes fled to his home. He confronted his parents, who confessed to everything. They told him his parents left them to their care in fear of his life, due to their dangerous professions.

Keyes returned to Charger, and asked him of his parents. To his dismay, Charger informed him regretfully that they had recently perished in a fight amongst orcs.

Currently, Keyes has taken the life of a mercenary, and has joined his newfound brother and his band of men. He is the Captain the swordsmen and shows little mercy for those who oppose him, his brother, or his band. Oh, and orcs* grins *
