Ditto sat on the top floor of the watch tower that overlooked DarkCove's harbor. The evening stars were just becoming clear in the sky and the chilled breeze sent a shiver down her spine, causing her to pull her wrap closer around her shoulders.

She was happy her daughter had come and was living at home with them now. But, Imryrr's heart seemed as dark and cold as this night was now, and would warm up to no one, save Tarothin. Tarothin adored his daughter and spoiled her at ever opportunity. He didn't seem to mind her sharp, demanding tongue when she spoke to people. If anything, he seemed to encourage it. It seemed that Imryrr could do no wrong in his eyes, and now Ditto was faced with the fact that her daughter was a snooty, spoiled brat with little respect for anything or anyone. This could be very dangerous, especially with the fact that Tarothin had many enemies. Not to mention that Ditto just wasn't very partial to snooty people.

The thought of Imryrr being a stuck up, spoiled brat in adulthood, didn't sit very well with her. Evil was one thing. Snooty was another. It was time for her daughter to realise the difference. And if she couldn't get Tarothin's help in teaching her, then she would just have to enlist the aid of friends.
