It is late in the eve. Porthos tends to his garden, relaxing from the day, nursing compions that will be transplanted to the flower boxes in his new home. He is interrupted by a knock on the door. Agitated by being disturbed and the late hour, he reluctantly trods downstairs and opens the door. At first there is no one there. "Hello" he calls out. Then, like a hallucination, a woman cloacked in a hooded shroud appeared to emerge from the wall by the door. "I bring you news" she says in a quiet voice, almost a whisper as she hand Porthos a series of parchments bound with a string. Startled by the strangers entrance, Porthos takes and opens the parchments pouring over the contents. In an instant, a chill went down his spine, his color flushed and he broke out in a cold sweat. He tried to speak but his mouth ran dry. He turned wanting to thank the strange woman, but she had vanished as quick and mystriously as she had come. Porthos reread the papers as if wishing the very words would have rearranged themselves to say something other than what they did the first time. He took a few moments to regain his composure and went to his study. Sitting at the stone table still not wanting to comprehend the recent news, he put quill to parchment and began to write:

Tarothin,

I have recieved some very disturbing news recently and require to speak with you in person to clear up a few matters most urgently. Please send word back with this carrier.

Porthos

Porthos then goes to his aviary and chooses a falcon. He puts the message in the birds talons, removes the hood and sets him on his way. Porthos goes back to his garden and ponders all that has transpired and wonders, how many are involved?

Frowns but a moment at the letter before writing a swift reply.

Porthos,

I will be at my keep this night if you wish to stop by before the training.
