Lady Arcana,
I send this little note since Lady Lia has been bedridden for weeks now from an illness, so i'll have to answer for your public announcement.
It was my understanding that Lady Lia asked that your treaty be somewhat modified before she would sign it. Instead of trying to work threw these problems you left in a huff. Soon after you an your future husband who has a guild of his own i'm told, started harrassing Lady Lia repeatedly into signing your treaty as is, or else.
It makes one wonder about your claim of being a guild of light an virtue, while saying we associate with evil itself.
Yes we are currently friends with the Dark Order who offered to help stop the harrassment, but Lady Lia said she'd deal with it.
Unlike other guilds, We the Guardians of Vesper are willing to give anyone a chance to prove themselfs worthy in our eyes to the light an virtues as we understand them.
Sadly you an your future husband have yet to prove your worth to us in protecting the citizens of Vesper,or anyone else that has to deal with ether of you.
As to your claim on Vesper, that you will have to take up with Lady Lia, the Regency, an the Regent.

Arcana gently collected the bird and opened the note. A rich peal of laughter almost immediately echoed forth. "Harassment my arse," she said aloud, reading. "Arlin will be interested to hear that he has proposed to me... how could I have missed that?" she murmured, still amused.

I suggest you have a long conversation with your guildmate, Keris, before writing to me again. You only embarass yourself otherwise. He came to speak with me last night, were you even aware? It was more sense and courtesy than I have yet heard from any of your guild other than Alex Brightblade before he departed.

Though it grieves me to hear that your lady is ill and I wish for her speedy recovery, Lia and all of your guild have been silent for months, far longer than her illness. The idea that she is revising that treaty is utter rubbish. If the Guardians were sincere in their wish to build community in Vesper, the revisions would have been on my desk many months ago. I tire of your diplomatic games.

How dare you insult my honor and that of my Knights. We have gone out of our way to be friendly, honest, and welcoming to you from the very beginning. This has been met with suspiscion, misleading promises, ignorance, and outright disrespect from certain members of your guild. It is truly tragic that a guild with a once shining reputation as the Guardians now is hardly more than a lackey to the Dark Order and a supporter of the Hand of Humanis as they drag the sad remnant of the Regency into ruin.

The Regency is a shell and a laughing stock. I was part of its founding, and it truly saddens me that I have not been able to support that once noble institution in good consience for some time. I, and many other founding members of the Regency, no longer recognize the current Regent as a legitimate ruler in our departed Lord British's stead. I have tried from the very beginning to deal directly with Lia, and instead she brought the Dark Order to threaten the Knights and our allies the Adventurers' League of Vesper.

I simply will not have it. The Knights and the Adventurers have only ever wished for peace and prosperity in Vesper. Our home. We will not be cowed by threats of reprisal from some thug who attempts to speak for you because you are too feeble to speak for yourselves. Or too arrogant to speak with us. Which it is, I can scarcely credit.

So do not presume to speak to me of Virtue and worth, you fool. And do not waste my time until the Guardians can deliver a consistent story.

Black sat with Lady Arcana at Riverun going over some activities for the guild to get involved in. When suddenly a pigeon flies in with a message .It attempts to land on the lady’s hat. Quickly Black spears the sickly looking pigeon as Lady Arcana grabs the note attached to its claw.
“Thanks Black she replied”
“My pleasure M’lady.”
After Black disposes of the nasty rodent he returns to notice a smirk upon Arcana’s lips.
“What is it, Black said”
Arcana tossed the letter over for Black to read. Silent as he read through the letter sent from one Teflon Bill. Black chuckled as he threw the letter atop the table. It seemed strange that they had a problem with this. Black never ever seen not one member of G*V anywhere in the town ever. However he did recall Lady Lia in town once gathering single men for an auction, but never saw this Teflon Bill there. They claim to be there for the people of Vesper but are nowhere to be found.
“We are far more visible in this city than they are,” Black said.
“I thought they had merged with that demon guy you spoke of.” Black stated.
“Besides I have seen countless towns folk stop by when we are all here doing treasure maps. They rummage through the trinkets we lay out on the road.”
“I personally don’t think they are involved enough around here but that is just one warriors opinion.” Black said.
“I agree we need to do our own thing here. They won’t detour us from helping those in need here in Vesper. I also am glad the ALV has joined in our beliefs for this fair city. Let the chips fall where they may.”
