After opening the front doors to his keep, he walked past the bowed servants and straight to his study. One of the servants following quickly on his heals with letters and papers, while the other servants took care of Lady Ditto and their belongings.

Before entering his study Tarothin sharply turned around to grab the parchments. His now clawish hands sunk in deeply. "I wonder what all that has happened in my absence."

Sitting down at his desk brought about an odd feeling as his redish tinted blue eyes scanned the maps with the chess pieces on them.

"I have been away too long. I will need to find out what has been happening in this realm and if they affect my plans..."

Galloping through the forest, the bottom of his shroud floats in the air. Soreing through the air his hawk follows close behind. Coming to the end of the forest he breaks out of the trees, nearing the front of the Armunn house. Stopping suddenly he slowly turns his head up to the window of Tarothins office.

"Hmm, is that candle light I see?" Nodding slightly to himself, he realized the pair were home. Tarothin and Ditto had finally returned, and just in time. "Jhanna isn't allowed in there, nor are any of the other servants. Must mean they -are- back."

He decided not to bother them just yet, he would let them settle and get things under way. Tarothin would be ready to speak with him and the guild when he was ready. Until than, he would leave them be. The hawk floated down on to his shoulder and screeched a bit. Snapping his fingers Beowulf and the hawk vanished.

The servants followed behind their lady as quickly as possible while Ditto began removing her constraining travel garments and tossing them to the floor. She went from room to room of the Keep seeing that everything was as they left it and everything in its place. Once upstairs in the bedchamber hallway, she noted an old, familiar feeling and knew her beloved was already in his study and smiled faintly as she made her way into the bedchamber itself.
Ditto jumped up onto the large bed and looked around the room. They were home, but it was a sad homecoming and she wished they didn't have to be here, or at least that it was safe enough to bring their children with them. There were many schools Daerauko could've attended that still would have kept him close enough live at home. And Imryrr....their youngest...again Ditto would miss so many important "firsts". She closed her eyes tightly against the pain her heart felt at being so far away from her children. If it had not been for Daer being such a loving and protective big brother to his toddler sister, she would have gone truely insane with worry.
Even while Tarothin had been impatient at not being able to leave as soon as he'd wanted, she knew that there was a part of him that was also thankful for the extended time they had to share with their son and daughter. They had gotten to hear Imryrr's first word and see her first stumbling steps as she tried always to go to Tarothin. Already the dark haired little baby worshipped her father and would throw such a temper if anyone intruded upon her time with him. This distance from him would be hard on Imryrr, but it would not be forever, and there would still be the visits to look forward to.

Early the next day, she sought out her husband and found him upstairs in the throne room in conference with Captain Beowulf, getting a briefing. She had only meant to stand quietly by and listen, but the report Beo shared was a little more than the mundane usual business of soldiers. He had been arrested by the AoF. At first, she was able to remain quiet and merely watched as Tarothin's brow rose at the news. The red tint in his eyes deepened when Beowulf continued and the air of his bemused temper began to electrify down her skin, igniting her own temper at the Army's insulting deed.
And then came the announcement of the attack on the Union of Regulators at their last meeting by the Order of the Ebon Skull. By the end of that report, Tarothin's eyes were burning w/ the deep red. She knew, without even a glance, that his gloves would be fitting him very tightly now against his claws.
At the end of the conversation, Tarothin was leaving to see to business and put plans into motion, but his seemingly calm temper was very still very powerful in the room. She and Beo finally gave each other a hug hello, and Tarothin, as as he stepped on the teleporter, looked directly at them with his eyes redder than she'd ever seen in his human form. She stood there a moment a quiet shock, even after she could no longer see her husband. Normally, Tarothin would turn away or try in some way to hide his daemon features when they were not alone, but this time, the last look he gave and its significance was not lost on her. That daemon part infused within him was becoming bolder. Swallowing away a slow panic that began to well up in her throat at the thought, Ditto turned her attention back to Beowulf and continued with the hellos of returning home and the goodbyes for the late hour of the morning. Her mind swirling with thoughts, she knew that Tarothin and the Dark Order would be busy with seeing to the protection and alliance of the Union of Regulators, but what about the Army? Should the insult given by them to the Dark Order be forced to be ignored completely? Ditto then turned to follow her husband's path, but her purpose was to be different than his and she set about writting a letter to her friend and partner.
Though she didnt know what the next couple of days would bring, she did know that they would be most assuredly interesting.
