After riding with Dayn Elderan and my Uncle Ashford Yendorin to the Lost Lands of a land known widely as Ish through tavern slang Jeren handed Dayn Elderan two parchments sealed with the Warriors Sanctum Crest. Jeren then lifted his helm and raised his right arm to his chest forming a fist with his hand over his heart.
Quote: | " Be well friend...This is the last leg of ye journey and my uncle and I will continue on to seek what is needed. You must return to carry on the legacy of the Sanctum and ensure the code is upheld. I bear this upon ye because I am assured you will bring us through this age of man. In time I will return better informed for my own futures as well as others that seek my counsel on certain matters." |
With that said Jeren placed his helm upon his head and Dayn returned the salute to his close friend as Ashford and Jeren rode off.
* LETTER TO THE YEW COUNCIL *
Members of the Council,
I wish to declare my absence to all with in the community. My stance though it seems disheartening and as if I have adbandon the great citizens and nobles of the land this absence for the next many month ahead will prove better for all of us.
I am aware that the city of Yew and the surrounding area has become a fierce battle of claims to land and struggles for power in the area. I stand firm on my protection for the Yew Town Council and those that defend and ally with such council. My organization has pledge such and will do as such. Though with out my leadership. I have past such leadership too Dayn Elderan and such legacy of the Sanctum will continue in his sted.
These choices made upon my Uncle Ashford Yendorin and myself our to to the link in which could find my noble family which has been lost for my heart and mind for some eight years now. Though my creed and oaths I stand firm on I must seek this out to do justice for my heart so I might find honor in future principles of the virtues. Sadly though I must leave at such a time, but an obligation in which bonds men and women alike has came to me. A letter written ayear ago has finally reached my eyes and it is that of Sir Thomas Atlantean. The son of the King that I despised for such long time has sought me out to seek counsel with me.
His absence had brought so much turmoil in his Kingdom that his father wrote and order empowering me at the King's death to take the throne. The words and thoughts I have to express to him are to many to list, but I assure ye they are quite important in which if not said I would surely lose my focus for leadership and responsiblity to this position I hold in the Sanctum.
For it is this I leave for I fear that with this weighing heavy on my mind I cause harm and danger to the very place in which I defend and call a home for many others. I have given such title to Dayn Elderan until my return. His experience and time in battle with the Yew miltia will prove worthy of a Commander in battle and in diplomacy.
In conclusion, I wish ye all prayer, and good fortune. For in serving each other is where we will all be free. I also stress that if you feel that my absence is dishonorable in anyway I ask of my last favor to treat the members and knights of the Sacntum with a respect not equal to mine if this letter makes you have disrespect to what I have as a person promised. For it is I who have choosen this path, not those with in the Sanctum.
* LETTER TO DAYN ELDERAN *
Dayn Elderan,
CLose friend we have encountered much together and have only began a friendship that will last for many years. The Sanctum though it is still growing and I am leaving ye at a time of unrest I am sure that you will lead strong and guide the many that will enlist and find haven in the Sanctum very well. Twas the reason of my choosing you of this title on my departure.
Your dedication to this code of a knight, the battle harding and experience I have sought and witnessed is another test to the proof of my choice of you leading the Sanctum in my absence. I ask that you lead and follow the traditions set and adapt and change if needed when ye feel it is necessary.
My affilations with those we have formed alliances with I pray state unchanged by my time of return and more have joined the cause of courageous men in which ye lead now. We as a organization have pledged strong in assistance to the Yew Town Council, and I hope that ye can find this purpose as something which is needed as I have.
I have written those in the Yew Community of this change and wanted to personally thank ye and give you my final orders before we will not speak for sometime. For it is understood between us that ye know my reasoningfor my absence and I hope in your heart as you have spoken ye approve of what I must do. As for my final orders:
Quote: | " I wish for a land governed by the free, defended together by those of the free, and the guilds of light bring back the good in the hearts of men and seek justice for those of hate, murder, and crimes in which demoralize what a human race should stand for. Lead the Sanctum with equal rights and just actions. Learn from those enlisted below ye as well as they will learn from ye with equal respect. And lastly, Lead into battle and negotiate with your blade only when your words will not be heard no more. For Glory, Majesty, Unity. " |
