Insolent halfbreed! was all Kotare could say when he got home. His wounds still showed but the bleeding had stoped. Looking down he seemed more concerned about his armor than that of his health. He had reason. His wounds were regenerating and as they closed up, he could see the gashes in his armor. Removing it, he went to have a tailor repair it. Arlin you think you have won a major victory this night? You are so wrong. Peace is nolonger an option for you. I will not rest until you are dead. He contemplates a moment about using Rune for this deed, as he was ambushed by seven guards that night. His two prized drakes fell rather quickly. The rules of war have to change if I am to have a chance. otherwise, I'll just have to fight dirty. He's only thoughts as sleep begins to set in for him to regenerate fully are how he would see Arlins death happen by his own hand.

Lilyth watched as Kotare stormed into the barracks, bloodied and bruised. She lept up and hugged him, knowing his wounds would heal on thier own she was less concerned with them and more concerned with his glowering demeanor.

Lilyth poured Kotare a drink, and took his hand. "Tell me love what happened" she asked gently. Kotare spoke at length on the events of the day and Lilyth listened. She loved him, but she had to intervene and speak her piece. Lilyth was not pleased to hear of the mornings battle, she had hoped open hostility was still a few weeks away. Two young soldiars had been slain, true it was thier choice to support an Army swirling in dishonor and unvirtuous actions. That was thier choice and thus could only expect such to happen to them. Kotare spoke of the two and thier loyal actions, a foolish loyalty that they had paid for with thier lives. Loyalty none the less was to be respected even if it was misguided.

Kotare then hardened and spoke harshly of the evenings events, the Army had descended on him with a force quite unequal to one man. Such honor this Army has she scoffed as Kotare related the tale describing how he had been wounded. He was angry and Lilyth could do little but soothe him while she wiped the blood from his face. "I will kill Arlin, by my own hand." he stated harshly. Lilyth tried to reason with him but he was set on his course, he was his own man with his own Knights. She would not presume to tell him what to do. The two spoke long into the night she remained with Kotare until he was slumbering peacefully. She gathered his armor and sent it to the Runic Knights smiths and tailors for repairs.

As she crossed the lawn from the Great Hall of Sea Reach Lilyth heard teh drum of horses hooves rapidly approaching. She readied her bow and stepped back against the wall. As the rider rounded the corner, Lilyth noticed it was Glory of the Yew Liberation Front. "Miss Noir I have information I think the council should be aware of." Glory continued "May I speak with you privately?" Lilyth motioned to the Hall and the two entered. Glory spoke quietly of the things her operatives in Yew Trammel had learned. She spoke to Lilyth of the harrassment of travelers around the Abbey, "they have effectively turned the peaceful town of Yew into a police state." Glory said, "There was talk of one who had called himself Malicite."

Lilyth knew the name, she mused to herself wondering how much further from grace this once virtuous sage could fall. He had betrayed Yew and been tried, and convicted for his traitorous acts. More than enough to permanently mark Malicite a traitor to Yew, now he had become little more than a common thug now. Lilyth shook her head, sad news indeed. Arlin seemed to corrupt all he came in contact with, she had to wonder was he using some means of control over them that had yet come to light. It would explain the "hospital" as the plagues in Yew were long since cured she had wondered of the importance placed on this "hospital". Perhaps there was a more sinister under current than even she dared believe. Glory shook her from her thoughts, "Miss Noir there is one other thing" ...Glory trailed off in a low tone and related the very words that had come from Arlins own mouth. Lilyth's eyes narrowed "interesting Glory, thank you", she smiled warmly. The young girl of Yew barely old enough to wield a sword but wise enough to see the threat to her home and family. Looked proud and undaunted. "These despicable tyrants and thier arrogant leader will not take my families farm or Yews freedom." Lilyth lowered her eyes, it pained her to see that one so young would be caught in a needless war. "Miss Noir", Glory spoke one last time, "I will present you with the proof of what I have spoken. The reports are still coming in. I just thought I would let you know to expect full written documentation of all the intelligence gathered this evening." with that Glory mounted her horse and rode into the darkness of the night.
