|
Much work is to be done to uncover the truth behind my family missing. Though I remember their last location was on the throne in Jhelom. My history due to my departure at an early age was quite foggy. As a young man, like many young men left in a fit of rage and determination to seek my own legacy rather then follow in the footsteps of others. So now I tell you the story of once a Kingdom that had many potentials, and many faults.
My father, Mork Yendorin, a mage by trait, was a member of the King's council, and his closest friend and advisor. My family had came here when I was only my 8th year of life and my father being highly trained in the traits he learned as a mage made him a wise choice for council once recognized by the King. During the campaign in which the King of Jhelom called "The Coming of Truth" in which men battled the beast of the seas in defense of the kingdom my father died. At my young age still learning the knightly code I grew distant from the throne and the kingdoms law. I felt the death of my father was unjust, and the ruling monarchy was failing...so I did what any man would do...
I rode away from the kingdom to never become a King of men. In recent days, I have sought those who hold the histories of the lands in books for answers to my many questions. One man I spoke with in Magencia, a sage if I must explain him, explained that the kingdom broke out into civil unrest after the campaign was successful. The King thought to give the kingdom new focus and moral toward the future by holding gladitorial events in honor to the campaign and those who served Jhelom in the past.
The 30 days of events went well until the 17th day in which it is said that the King was assassinated by what many people of the area believe to be the one who was claimed by order of the King as the heir to the throne. Afterwards the town formed loosely by independant councils to keep the law and policies that were held in the kingdom.
I realized then that I must speack to the citizens of Jhelom in this age and assure that my fellow countrymen are being treated well. This will be added to the many issues which must be taken care of in the near future for myself to accomplish and bring justice in my own heart. |
