|
The soldier is the very heart of any army. Respectful, resourceful and caring for those who stand beside him. He is the source of which all leaders draw their strength.
As a leader, you must love those you command. Without love, there is no respect. Without respect, the soldier will deminish. There will be times when you must order the death of the very thing you love in order to preseve your way of life. A good soldier knows and understands this. A good leader knows he is not indestructable. with wisdom, and faith, he will lead by example and show his soldiers that his blood can run as much as theirs. Such is the way of war. Such is the way of those who believe in victory.
Victory comes to those who believe in it the most. Size of ones army makes little difference to a good comander. Strength can be countered with balance. Speed can be countered with obstacles and size can be countered with determination. I have seen it before. Wars are not won by those who have the greater skills. It is won by those who use tactics to their advantage.
Honor, Strength, Determination, Tact, Faith, Wisdom and self control.
These are all qualities of a good soldier. And from good soldiers come great leaders. |
