Lilyth left the town council meeting exhausted. It had been long but orderly and things had been accomplished. The council decided it's course of action and would await a reply from the Holy Curch of the Virtues mediators. At the end of her patience with Arlin. The council had decided it best to seek impartial mediation in alast ditch effort to avert aggressions.
Lilyth had Announced Lord Nick of the Saints of the True Covenent the Vice Mayor
Treasurers had been named Lord Nathan and Lady Lisa would handle the ledgers of Yew funds and Lilyth had happily presented them with the first proceeds gathered by the Yew Town Council guilds on thier expidition with STC.
Chief Justice nominees were made, Lady Sue the Palladin and Lord Kotare Duke of Blackwind were both nominated and would address the council on the next meeting day before votes were made.
Overall the meeting was succesful but Lilyth still saw much room for improvement. After the meeting was adjourned she met the new face in the room Lord Dekar, guildmaster of a Druidic Cult in Yew. The gentleman asked of joining the Yew Town Council and Lilth explained so long as he lived within the bounds of Yew he was welcome to join the Council.
Lilyth turned to see Lord Kotare motioning to her as they neared the door. "Race you home" he stated and vanished, a quick muttering of "cheat" and Lilyth joined him on the steps at Sea Reach. Kotare smiled at her. Together they entered the Great Hall and discussed the meeting, those who were present and plans for the future. He was her rock, and she was grateful for that day he had unexpectedly darkened her doorstep and brought light back into her life. He was well mended now from his long time on the seas. Lilyth knew soon his duties would seperate them more often. As the thought crossed through her mind she felt a tender kiss on her cheek. "I have things to attend to love, I will return later" Lilyth smiled blowing him a kiss as he left the hall. She had no doubt of his return home, his eyes spoke volumes to her as he winked and left.
Still wound up from the meeting, Lilyth decided to go hear word of Horaces trial. Upon her arrival at the Court of Truth she saw many gathered outside. Lady Arcana strolled over to speak with her letting know the unfortunate outcome of the trial, they exchanged quips. Lilyth was pleased to have met the Lady they were much alike it seemed. Lady Arcana explained Horace had been killed in the middle of this hallowed ground. Some misuderstanding had occured or it was an assasination Lilyth was unsure of the facts. The news disturbed Lilyth as her glance strayed to the Captain of the AoF and the hallowed walls of the court.
Soon the ladies were joined by Nick, Arlin, Kain Eldaren, Wren Hapswill and Porthos. The tension grew as Arlin joined the group brash things were said, and a single sword was drawn. Arlin pointed that sword towards Lord Nicks throat. Lilyth stood in stunned silence and looked to Lady Arcana. Arlin resheathed his sword as he and his Lady Knight, left the area for a meeting. Lilyth was glad for the Lady's presence she had noticed the soothing glances and touches she gave Arlin and was most certain had the Lady not been there Lord Nick may have been struck down unarmed. Lilyth sighed a bit, such hostility amongst those who should be otherwise.
Upon leaving the Court Lilyth went to the Shrine of Honesty and meditated until she was once again calm and centered. She gathered her things and prepared to head back to the Great Hall at Sea Reach.
Lilyth entered to meet Kotare on his way to the barracks to take some much needed rest. Lilyth assured him with a hug she would not be long behind him. The place was abuzz with life. Nathan, Sunwolf, Wren, several Yew recruits were all there speaking comfortably over glasses of Ale. A rap sounded at the doors. Lilyth looked around wondering who it could be. The sentry announced Lord Shaezen as he entered the Great Hall. He spoke again of the merchants distress though her words had heartened them Lilyth knew it would have to be addressed more firmly to keep the people from panic. They all spoke, laughed shared tales and jokes. The hour had grown late, Lilyth excused herself from the party exhaustion was setting in quickly.
She made her way to the master suite in the barracks and quietly slipped into bed. A strong arm encircled her waist with a smile on her lips, Lilyth drifted to dreams. _________________ "Always forgive your enemies. Nothing annoys them so much."
