The night was early drawing the darkness in upon it. But Livia found no solace in the confines of her own room tonight, A need to be out doors and doing something griped hold and refused to let go. With orders given to Lorn to keep an eye on someone or some persons. The offer to be her escort for the evening was accepted and the two traveled on to Umbra for a spell. finding the city deserted and free of even the fleeting traveler, They were on to Yew stepping through the gate and in to the Abby.
Livia was shocked almost to see men posted at the door to the Abby. A trouble maker floundering around hunting on the wildlife and Lorn making sharp words at the guards at the door. Livia tossed in her own bit of color before Arlin showed up. Explaining their reason for their visit. Arlin's offer for an escorted tour of the city was accepted and off the party of now five went. Yew was not what she had remembered it as. Now a marsh and swamp, Arlin explained what had happened while they walked through the city.
Hod things changed so much in the seasons of her discourse and absence as to bring changes to even the land itself? A while longer on their tour, Arlin made his retreat to deal with business and Livia excused herself of the company of his men to further her scouting on her own. No need to trouble them in any way. Without the escort she was free to move about as she pleased to indulge herself in the cities business or its beauty of design.
The company kept tonight was for all intents good, The conversation was light and informative as much as it was friendly. Even the complements spilled off the lips of the guards were taken with no show of Livia's cold hearted nature. The night ended pleasantly for the most part. It was something she knew would soon come to an end as soon as she had become settled and Smogg put her back to work. _________________
