"All of you. Get out of my house. Now. Before I kill you myself."
The Oracle of Control was moments away from exploding. The fire in his belly swelled and he knew if anyone..any man..especially that..
"And Nas, kill him!" Dealthagar pointed to the knight of Sanctus that stood in his antechamber.
"But sir, I don't..."
"KILL HIM!" Dealthagar stormed off, hitting the teleport pad, and swiftly entered his laboratory. Slamming the doors, he turned on the horde minion he had summoned to clean the house in his absence. A swift kick sent the little beast crashing into a rack of beakers and test tubes.
Smashing. Yes. That would make it feel better. Picking up a smith's hammer he tossed it into the midst of a shelf of crystals and diodes, shattering and scattering them about the room. "Corp Por!" A bolt of energy left his figertips and incinerated a stack of notes on the peasants he had disected after exposing them to various madness causing compounds. A backhand with his metallic fist shattered a nearly complete boiling solution of deadly poison.
Within moments the laboratory was little more than a smoking pile of glass and gears. The pungent smell of chemicals and the acrid tang of ozone filled the air.
Wiping the sweat from his brow, Dealthagar summoned another horde minion. "I want this room cleaned and back in working order by morning. I have need of it." The little beast grunted and began sweeping.
"Engaged? True love? HAH!" Dealthagar stormed out of the lab, streamers of lightning trailing from his hands. "She will have much to answer for. Oh, yes she will." _________________

The Baali blood. It had to be.
Dealthagar hatred of vampires flared as his anger still kept him warm on the cold Cainan night. He barely noticed the Oracle of Diligence entering as he scribbled his notes and made his calculations.
"Dealth? You alright?" Unity's eyes narrowed, trying to make sence of Dealthagar's scrawled numbers. "You stormed off the other night, and we..."
"It doesn't matter." He thrust the book at Unity. "Weakness must be cleansed."
Unity took the book. "What do you mean?"
"Describe Kotare using a singular word."
Unity paused. "Um, weak?"
"Exactly!" He jabbed at the page the book was opened to. "Look at these calculations. Baali blood. Vampirism."
"Brother, i know your hatred for the kindred.."
"Explain it then! Where is she? Why does she stay in her tomb, afraid of the light? Why does she shun her duties? Why does she not show Yew the Oracles as they should be seen, as the Holy Triumverate?"
Unity sighed. "Dealth, I.."
"Think no more of it. If she will not leave her tomb, we will create a new one, devoid of the Baali curse. We have an existing drone framework and mental capacitor, correct?"
"Well, yes. She is in learn mode."
"Then she will learn to be Anna. We will grow a new flesh-cover for the frame. I have several untainted samples of Anna. We will reprogram the drone's response parameters. for all intense purposes, to the people of Yew, she will be Anna." Delathagar clasped his hands behind his back and smiled.
"When she learns of it, she will be angered. Are you prepared for that?"
The Technomancer Primus laughed loudly, his voice full of malice and cruelty. "Good. Perhaps her anger will wake her from her slumber."
Unity nodded. "As you wish brother. We will make it so."
Dealthagar turned back to his work-table as he heard the Oracle of Diligence recall away. "And now for Lilyth..." _________________

She took the goblet of red wine from the Captain of Sanctus as she placed the goblet rim to her full, luscious lips, she pretended to take in a small sip of the liquid. This part was always risky yet she had perfected the ritual over the years. His eyes gazed into hers and he seemed lost in the pools of her vision. Her desire he may of thought was him and in many aspects he was right. She did so desire his rich crimson blood. Her teeth ached to pierce his tender flesh on his throat as her ivory fangs slowly made their way into his vein as she drank his blood. Her whole body trembled in delight….
Many times Anna played the night over in her mind. His blood as it filled her body was so rich that it almost made her intoxicated. She always favored the blood from a Paladin, was something about that pure lifestyle that made there blood ever so sweet. Humans may crave a certain fruit or candy for a tasteful treat, Anna craved a paladin now and then. Being discreet was a trademark of hers.
Over the years she had sired seven and to her knowledge only one had become public knowledge, Duke of Blackwind. “He always was so emotional.” Anna said with a slight smirk as she recalled Kotare and the time she had sired him. For now she was tired and needed rest.
As she entered her bedchambers and pulled the satin sheets over her, her mind drifted to her husband. She wondered where he was and why he was not there to hold her. “Dealthagar I need you…something is wrong.” Anna seemed to speak into the night as she curled up in her bed, a blood-red tear stained the pillow that rested under her head. It had been weeks since she last feed and she was growing weak. Her thoughts drifted to her prey.
The taste of his kiss… the taste of his blood…yes, she would visit Sanctus often. “Arnhem.” She whispered his name into the damp night air of Yew. “ |
