Things seemed to all be going to plan as the Guardians of the Light grew, slow but steady. He had been working his soldiers hard pushing them to maximum. But this night things look much different instead of seeing the hard working all business attitude he keeps when on duty, you see a torn man. You can see it in the man's eyes as he sits at Poet's Garden, he obviously is greatly confused. He sits quietly by himself at the corner of the bar drinking bottle after bottle like he used to do to drink away his pains and sorrows.

"Walter... Walter lad it's closing time, ye should go home and get some sleep lad."

Walter looks up at Poet noding slowly not saying anything as he gets up and heads to the teleporter.

"Take care of ye self lad, everything will be alright." Poet speaks to him reassuringly as Walter leaves summoning up his ethreal horse and riding off into the distance.

A small house just three stories sits on Fire isle not to far from the dungeon of Hyloth. Walter appears suddenly dismounting his horse and walking up on the porch. He grabs a flintstone and quickly lights the torch on the Porch. He looks out into the woods infront of his house half mumbling under his breath.

"Every light in the house is on.... just in case you get tired of being gone."

He slowly walks into his house throwing his robe and hat onto hangs next to the door, he slowly removes armor and sets it in a specially made chest for his armor. Before he gets to far into his house he breaks down in tears right there in his dining room he sits at the table his head buried in his hands. For hours he cries another cold and lonely night no different then the last few months. Should he hang on.... or should he let go... This is the question that drives this man to the edge of sanity.

A hooded figure stoped his horse just before Walter's home. As he climbs from his mount, a cape of dark red, and hints of gold trim flutters about his feet hit the gound. He steps slowly toward Walters door, pushing a missive underneath,


Friend Walter,

It has been some time since we talked Brother. Amidst all the confusion and events that I place my hand in, I have not forgotten our bond. I prayed that very soon we would be able to meet, and mayhaps share a word or two. Though I do have some very important news to share with ye, I still wish to know your status and how you have faired as of late...

With so much about, these times are trying. And while those who still have good in their heart remain about the realm, It puts my confusion to rest. I await your reply, brother.
