The strong wind was howling through the keep windows. Small pieces of hail made a constant popping sound against the roof. Feyd was deep in his sleep, the smoke inhaled at the latest pyre still being absorbed by his lungs.

Dreams emerged about him sitting at his mount. Whole towns being burned, its population being slaughtered. Had they all failed to embrace the reality of their pitiful lives as master Enoch would often tell him? A lady was tied at a cross and being tortured by his brothers and sisters who appeared to be having fun slowly working her to disgrace. Feyd could not help feeling the same way as they did. Entropy was, after all, an inescapable force, one that would free the world of its filth and lead it to a pristine state of peace. It is only logical that applying this force with your own hands would cause great amusement to a man.

But how would he be able to live with himself? The more Feyd embraced Oblivion, more his inner conflicts grew. Although he was set on a clearly rightful duty, channeling entropic magery through his body, his conscience couldn't help questioning it.

“Think about what it is you seek.” Enoch's words at the ritual echoed through his head. Feyd was unable to put an answer in words until he went to sleep. But now he realized.

Inner peace. The words were muttered in the dream so realistic he was unable to tell it. Feyd never sought Oblivion for the power. Perhaps for knowledge, but that was not the main point of it. Inner peace is what made the powerful lore appeal to him.

He knew he would never give up his duty. If his conscience told him otherwise, then his conscience must have been wrong. For the first time, Feyd felt ready to sacrifice part of himself for a greater goal. The mortal bonds no longer felt important. They were but the cause of his terrible conflict with himself. The over thinking caused him to wake up. At the first deep breath, Feyd felt ready to accept the hug of Oblivion to its fullest consequences.

She sat at her desk. Eyes closed in sleep....

A distant rhythmic crescendo of beating of hooves. In the span of but a moment the hoofbeats were deafening.

White on white eyes opened suddenly.

Imryrr stood tall on a blackened hill. Her brothers and sisters beside her and they looked down upon the battlefield. Amongst twisted corpses in various stages of decay knelt legions of common peasants, their clothing torn and dirty. As far as the eye could see, there were people. Kneeling and weeping. Screams begging for mercy. "Let me live" some called out. "Please let me die" others cried.

The Dark Order rose weapons in unison to the heavens. "POWERRR!" They claimed with one voice.

Heads turned...the peasants. Their heads turned like one would turn a screw. Slowly. Cracks and pops. The sound of breaking bones until finally their faces showed once more. But this time, they were the faces of smiles. Awe shown in their faces as they gazed up to the Order. They understood. Finally, they understood. They didn't only accept their fate. They embraced it. Welcomed their rulers.

The Dark Order outstretched their arms to the crowd of people. "GLORYYY!" They claimed with one voice.

One by one the peasants' faces and bodes began to rapidily rot away with the wind. Maggots and flies infested the ground while in the dark stormy skies, a black glowing throbbing mass of energy grew larger and larger. Like a tornado it swirled towards the hill and to the Dark Order. It enveloped Imryrr.

She felt the energy within the twisting, throbbing mass as it danced it's dance around her. She could see clearer than she ever had before. She could feel more than she ever could before. It was not an emotional feeling. It was the absence of emotional feeling that felt so incredible. So right. Beyond right. It was....

Imryrr stood on the hillside. With parted lips she spoke the word. "Perfection."

She woke up. Not confused. Not caught in the unsureness of awakening from sleep. She knew she had spoken the word aloud and she smiled that cold, knowing smile.
Power and Glory for the Dark Order.
Perfection for herself.
