Her eyes focused on the minute metal pieces in her hands. Slow and meticulous she had unwound the assembly effectively littering the desk with coils and springs. Without moving her gaze her index finger landed to her left and moved the gear into a separate pile. Those unique bits had other uses. The third one she'd taken apart in the last hour, his laboratory was filled with them in various shapes and sizes. He wasn't going to miss one. Squeezing, she applied pressure to the pliers in her hand and turned counter. The last bolt to be loosened it landed with a ting atop the pile.

"Do you ever put them back together?"
She heard Loric's words from the other night clearly in her head.

"Yes." She whispered it to herself now, her hand reaching for an icy red hued liquid to her right. Mother wouldn't miss this either.. after all she'd given it up some time ago. Eira couldn't help but smile. There had been many creations over the years. But this, this would be the best so far. She'd have to show Kale first and get her opinion. Her brother, sea-faring as he was these days wouldn't care less. But no, her older sister would have thoughts on the matter.

"Cerys would have thoughts too."

"But her thoughts would be unproductive!"

"You cannot have greatness without having criticism."

"That is not the kind of criticism I require at this juncture."

Her voice stilled and the conversation with the mirror quieted. No, Kale's opinion would be the first sought.

Her voice caught in her throat as she would have called a greeting.

Do I have manners and give pleasantries now?

With an annoyed growl, she barged into the room, instead.

The tables stretched along the walls were littered with gears and parts and tools. It looked like a golem had exploded in here, so many tiny bits and pieces now blanketed the surfaces like metallic snow. A tinker's wet dream. With a smirk, she looked about the mess, half-expecting to be greeted by a goggled, thoroughly tooled-up Eira. But there was no Eira to be found.

She snagged one of the cherished gears from the closest table and began twirling it around her finger.

Her youngest sister was amusing to talk to. She had some pretty wild ideas and quite a few strange notions about life and how things really worked. Kale had decided to educate her on a few subjects she seemed to be lacking: men, the world, other really important things.

With a sigh, she turned to leave. She would have to find some other diversion to occupy her time for a while.
