Aulbrey sat staring at the fire wondering if anything would be the same after tonight. Standing slowly she made one more round through the bar. Carefully making sure everything was in its place. This is for the best she thought to herself. Turning around once more Aulbrey took a deep breath and exited the building. Leaving the Lush House behind Aulbrey headed toward the mountain


The wind blew increasingly stronger as aulbrey walked up the narrow path of the mountainside. Each step was a reminder of her journey that brought her to this moment. Struggling to continue on the incline began to steepen to almost an unbearable angle. Inching towards the edge of the highest cliff she knew her goal was near.


Looking over the edge it was almost a relief to know it would all be over soon. Shifting her feet a little Aulbrey held her breath. She looked up to the sky a moment and with one quick movement it happened. The feeling of falling towards the emptiness was all she felt. Her arm lunged forward trying to grasp at it but in a few moments it was too late.



Goodbye old friend was all she could think as the flask went crashing to the ground.
