I have returned to Zento. For many weeks I have not seen or heard from the man to whom I owe a life debt. I must assume he has been killed, or has, in some other fashion, released me from my debt and, although I have no confirmation of these things, I have returned to my beloved homeland.

If it pleases you, My Lord, I humbly request that the girl called Umeko be released from your service back into mine. She has shown much promise in her training and works diligently without complaint. She is a valued gem in the garden of the Karyukai and much needed.

I humbly ask for her return and pray Lord Takeamada will find it within his heart to release her back into my care.

I have spoken with the court scribes, and they inform me that your actions in regard to your debit of honor have been paid. Under the code, if a person in debit of honor is not given specific instructions or is ignored, then after two full cycles of the moon has passed, the debit is considered paid.

As for the girl; we shall talk about her transfer back to you upon my return to Zento. I should be arriving in a few days. I look forward to seeing once more.
