She found it hard going to sleep. Grabbing her pillow, she pulled it up close against her chest as if it could allay her worries and fears. The events of the day before had been her own doing. Her curiosity had gotten the better of her....again. It never ended well when that happened. Sneaking into the room, taking Ralph with her...a room in Armunn keep that she was not suppose to be in. Inviting Ralph over to begin with had gone against her father's direct order. But she had taken advantage of the rare time when both her father and mother were out. She wanted adventure and thrilled in the feeling of the risk. Playfully, they had sought out Lord Armunn's treasure room. She wasn't going to take anything. Bree would never steal from her father. Not anything serious anyway. She just wanted to go treasure hunting in the safety of her own house with Ralph. He was fun and liked playing along with things.

The room they had entered was large. Many dark stone chairs surrounded one of the biggest tables she'd ever seen. A couple of the chairs were dusty, as if they'd not been sat in, but most of them were free from dust. Several people had been in here in the past couple of days it seemed. It wasn't an eating area. She could tell that right away. The chairs were too far away from the table. And on top of the table were maps. At the head of the room, with dark, evil looking statues on either side, was a throne. Scuff marks on the stone floor. A candle offset slightly from it's centered postion to rest nearest the map of Ocllo. She turned her back to the map to face her suitor. Her young eyes had taken in many details, and she chanced glance at Ralph. He too seemed to be coming to a similiar suspicion as she when he looked around the room. Watching him with a steady, innocent gaze now, she put a hand quickly behind her back and secretly inched the candle away from the map, inadvertantly resting it near Minoc.

Walking away from the table to stand closer to Ralph, they shared an awkward silence. They both knew this was not the playful end they had meant it to be, but something more serious if what she assumed about this room was correct. They spoke their suspicions to each other, and the what ifs that surrounded them. Shortly after, Ralph left, with a promise from Bree that she wouldn't tell that he was there, or at the very least...who was there.

Bree knew she was in trouble. She wasn't going to even mention their game of exploration to anyone, but now, she felt she should. This wasn't one of her harmless sneaky escapades anymore. She'd go to her father as soon as breakfast was over. He was always in a better mood after he'd eaten. Bree might not be a coward, but she wasn't foolhardy either.
