Staring at the door as Jade departed, Rowan's mind went into a frenzy. She called forth her favorite mindless, careful to speak respectfully to the minion. He presented to her a paper, and waited patiently, playing with the beads that Rowan had handed him. With a quick lick of the tip, she began to write.

Miss Sky,

We haven't met, but I hear you are the mayor of my city. I wish to have a meeting with you to discuss this as I need to come up to speed with the laws surrounding and pertaining to my new kingdom. If you wish, you can bring your hell-hounds with you too. Miss Tat-ee-Anna spoke to me and my daddy mentioned your dogs are more than dogs. I shall endeavor to have a treat ready for them upon your arrival.
