Rowan stood perched on her new blue throne with it's red upholstry contouring to her body. Outside the doors, she could hear the chuckles of the guards, all whom were praising her greatness, though the word cute kept coming up a little too often. She pulled out the large paper she'd been given, and got her quill before
Hiya Daddy!
So, I thought I should tell you I love my city. It's exactly like I wanted it. Everyone is so very nice. The guards to my new castle keep saying how cute I am. Obviously, they are very smart. Also, the innkeeper is giving me as much honey as I want! No one calls me highness or majesty yet, though. I think you forgot to tell them of my status. The good news is, they have a throne all ready just for me!
Now about that castle. Do you know, even flying, that there's a draft when you put holes into the floors? It's true. Can you please have a repairman come out and fix this? The plants are pretty, but I keep missing and falling down. This is kind of annoying and it makes me very hungry, and then I have to go to the tavern and get a cookie before trying again. Trust me daddy. This takes a very, very, very, very, very long time.
On a happy note, I heard a blacksmith next door. I've yet to meet them, but still! They can build me STUFF! Oh! Oh! OOOOH! Daddy, I like the pretty statue, but why is the pixie so sleepy? And why a cold sword? I bet it belongs to Grandma Merci. She'd like it. Why a dragon? Did you kill that dragon? I bet you did and it's a trophy of our strength! Great idea daddy!!
I gotta go, as someone mentioned honey. I love you and tell mommy I love her too!
Love,
Rowan
Queen of Sanctus
PS, maybe I should tell them I'm queen...
Stuffing the letter into an envelope, her nose followed a sweet scent. Finding the honey oddly near the pixie tree, she handed her letter to one of the mindless, with orders to return and harm none. As she watched the mindless, also known as a pixie, fly away, she grabbed the honey pot, and proeceeded again to try to drag the pot back to her new Castle, Castle Blackguard. _________________ The Princess of Everything |

As the *mayor* climbed down from his perch atop the dangerous shelves Reine gave a loud shriek. You have got to stop! The climbing its not natural, Walls, windows, trees, roofs... The little boy was grasped quickly and brought safely into the shield of it's mother's protective arms. His dark curls slid over his face and a pair of bright green eyes stared back at her.
He held up two stubby fingers and said:
I'm two!
She sighed.
i'm two, two two two two two two two. She put her hand over his little mouth.
Yes I have got it, your two.
At this moment, a letter flitted within the home as if it had its own pair of wings. Instantly Reine knew whom it was from.
She frowned, her eyes looking over the letter and the strong maternal instincts, only hampered by the wiggling two year old under her arm, kicked right in.
She quickly and hastily scrawled (due to said two year old) two quick notes:
One to Tyranis attached to Rowan's original letter.
All it said was:
Tyr,
This is your fault, fix it.
Reine..
The other letter was sent off to her other daughter Jade.
Jade,
Go to Sanctus, find your sister, and protect her till your dad arrives!
Mom...
The two year old let out a yell. I'm TWOOOOOOOO!
Leave it to Reine to overreact... _________________ May destiny guide you... |

Tyranis held two letters, one in each hand.
Both were clearly designed to illicit his attention, but writing letters was hardly something he fancied, so he thought it best to write one. But to whom?
The mother of his queen, or the queen herself.
At the end of the momentary train of thought, it occurred to him he had his whole life to write letters to the mother of his child, so he responded to the letter that was after all, first to arrive.
Dear Rowan,
I don't remember that castle having any drafts...wait, unless you mean the ghosts.
See you soon!
-Dad
