Quote: | Jarem is still permanently scarred for having to follow you around, Yasamin. Just thought you should know. You shook his faith in the Virtues. |
I will have you know Yasa cemented the true meaning of virtues for Jarem! Sure, at times he probably just wanted to gag her, but he acted with honor and valor even when confronted by Yasa's... erm... recklessness? Heck, after Yasa, he should consider himself the most virtuous of men, willing to defend his charge, even when it was probably easier to just smack her upside the head until she was unconscious! _________________ (4:45:41 PM) Jarem: It becomes increasingly difficult to feel noble in my causes when my cause is to defend my charge from her own violent tendencies. |

If Patience was one of the Virtues, he'd be a candidate for the Avatar, yes. But as it is not, he was left scrabbling for excuses! Your signature quote sums it up pretty well.
Though he did enjoy a great deal of Sacrifice. Mostly of his sanity. And he learned Humility when he would tell Yasamin not to run off whenever she wanted and to accept an escort and learned she'd run off anyway. He learned Honesty, by learning to simply be candid with Yasamin about some of her less than savory ideas. And most importantly, he gained Spirituality. When all of your mortal plans fall aside as you chase after the one you were assigned to protect, you learn to take joy in considering the more lofty and etheric possibilities. Like dying suddenly in your sleep and finding freedom eternal. _________________ Femmies?! HOWAH!

PROOF I was right. So many virtues truly learned and understood. _________________ (4:45:41 PM) Jarem: It becomes increasingly difficult to feel noble in my causes when my cause is to defend my charge from her own violent tendencies. |

Nah, since it was his sworn duty. I'm sure that's the only reason he didn't just clobber her over the head and stash her body somewhere where no one could find it. I mean... _________________ (4:45:41 PM) Jarem: It becomes increasingly difficult to feel noble in my causes when my cause is to defend my charge from her own violent tendencies. |
